this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; We're going to have a very talented roster. But even as good as things look (and believe me, they do look really good).....we gotta remember that as fans, we have a habit of reading too many offseason articles and letting ...

We're going to have a very talented roster. But even as good as things look (and believe me, they do look really good).....we gotta remember that as fans, we have a habit of reading too many offseason articles and letting them delude us into a false sense of reality. Example: in 2007 people thought Jason David was going to be "the final piece", and the expectations for the Saints by most fans was a Super Bowl. Instead we got an 0-4 start.

Yep. I've been visiting the sites for several different teams and it's easy to see the press is hyping up every team. As an example, ESPN just did regular season records and predicted the NFL would be 32 games over .500.

Since that's mathematically impossible, it's apparent the writers at ESPN would rather tell their readers something they'd like to hear rather than the cold, hard truth that some teams are going to blow next year.
