Game Rewind Notebook: Kenny Stills set to go off?
The quarterback and rookie developed an instant connection: Brees -- who calls Stills "Lance Moore 2.0" -- chalked up a passer rating of 139.3 on throws to Stills, 10-plus points higher than any other passer-receiver combination in 2013, per Pro Football Focus.
The wideout's 4.35 40 speed brought a dangerous element to the passing game. Serving as a deep target for Brees, Stills finished his rookie campaign leading all NFL receivers with 20 yards per catch. He also ranked 13th in the league with a 69.6 percent catch rate, a figure that looks more impressive with Pro Football Focus' Mike Clay pointing out that 15 of his 50 targets came at least 20 yards downfield. I've been down on Stills but I have to admit he looks like a perfect #2 to Cooks, along with Jimmy Graham and Colston that's a good Crew there.

Re: Game Rewind Notebook: Kenny Stills set to go off?
I watched the Patriots game from last year the other day and that grab he makes in the end zone with two guys on him was phenomenal
with a whole year to pick up the offense and Cooks to also spread the field this year looks like big things are in store for Kenny another great late draft score |
Re: Game Rewind Notebook: Kenny Stills set to go off?
I think the game vs buffalo was where he made his mark
Our offense had struggled, we had missed an early FG and not scored a TD, our defense had already forced 2 turnovers and we had nothing to show for it then stills bursts for a 60 yard TD on a double move, then later catches another 50 yard TD with the defender in perfect coverage the guy is going to be awesome for us |

Re: Game Rewind Notebook: Kenny Stills set to go off?
Love me some Kenny Stills. Except I don't think he's just a #2 receiver, I think he's a future #1 if/when he gets the chance. Moore got the chance to be #1 twice and was up to the task, and Stills is a carbon copy of Moore except he's faster.

Kenny Stills will be a beast and hopefully he will learn from Colston on how to handle himself....
