Rob Ryan: Leaving Losing Behind Him For Good
Rob Ryan was fired after the 2012 season, and would be forever remembered for his quote stating, “I’ll be out of work for like 5 minutes“. As DeadSpin pointed out, it was more like 22,987 minutes. Literalists.

First we get Drew Brees and Darren Sproles fom San Diego, not to mention a second go with Robert Meachem . . Then the COW GIRLS top that off with handing us Sean Payton (The main reason we got a Super Bowl) Rob Ryan, Victor Butler (unproven, but being very familiar with Ryan's defense I think he will have a huge affect even after the knee injury) and A top 5 defense and another shot the the trophy . . . I am so happy that Jerry Jack Ass Jones didn't allow Sean Payton to bring Tony Romo with him to the Big Easy (that was his guy) . .. enter Brees and the rest is History . . . Thanxxx alot you MORONS! !! ! TAKE NOTES . .THIS IS HOW YOU RUN A CHAMPIONSHIP TEAM .. . . WHO DATT! !!!!

I selfishly hope he becomes one of those defensive guru's that would rather stay a DC on a great team in a kickass city than aspire to be a head coach.
Then again, in 5 or 6 years he may get a HC opportunity right here in New Orleans. Its pretty obvious he loves New Orleans and I can't think of a single coach or coordinator whose personality fits this city better than Rob Ryan's. He could live the life of a king right here as a defensive guru the rest of his NFL career and beyond. BTW: does anyone know if he likes crawfish and beer? |

The images of him enjoying crawfish boils with his neighbors is well documented and even posted in this community... And your dead on, that he could be a HOF coordinator right here in New Orleans - our very own Dick LeBeau... |

I was a doubter and I freely admit how wrong I was. I hope this second year together is just as good but with more TOs

Leaving Losing Behind Him For Good ????
that was never the issue really for him in my book. his defenses were always great during the season and any solid defense coordinator worth his salt cold have turned this defense around last year. as good as they turned out? maybe not but I never bought into it would be a hard job if the coach just schemed according to his players strengths. playoffs late in a game is always his bug a boo. This is the area i am watching and this is the area were he needs to focus. |
