New Orleans Saints valued at more than $1 billion by Forbes magazine

The New Orleans Saints have increased in value to more than $1 billion in the last year, and are the 36th most valuable sports team in the world, according to Forbes. The magazine included 30 NFL teams among its top 50.
Forbes magazine lists the Saints' value at $1.004 billion, an increase from the 2013 value of $971 million. In both years, the Saints ranked as 36th most valuable sports franchise in the world. In 2014, the Saints ranked 23rd among NFL franchises. Spanish soccer club Real Madrid is No. 1 at $3.44 billion.
