Get Well Johnny.

Re: DT John Jenkins to PUP to start camp
Pectoral can be tough to heal when you're up on the line grappling with dudes. Especially with a guy of Jenkins size, he probably packs on the pounds when he's not staying on top of it.
No need for panic yet, but I will say it's a good thing we didn't cut Bunkley like a lot of people thought we might. |
Re: DT John Jenkins to PUP to start camp
Didn't we lose a Center to that inury. Jeff Faine?

Re: DT John Jenkins to PUP to start camp
Didn't he have problems with his weight management back in college?
|
Re: DT John Jenkins to PUP to start camp
I just hope he is really healed before he comes back. No need rushing it just to get injured again.

Re: DT John Jenkins to PUP to start camp
I want to say Charles Grant had a torn pec muscle, and it wreaked havoc on him...
|
Re: DT John Jenkins to PUP to start camp
I think it was about 1/3rd torn an hes much younger when he tore it as Grant was over age 30 at the time he tore his.I think hes off pup after saints break camp but they do not play him till start of regular season. While on PUP i think he counts against 90 roster reason why they cut two to sign two.He will not count against 53 roster an saints have to week 6 to activate or IR him.

Re: DT John Jenkins to PUP to start camp
Grant did have a torn pec at one point, but I don't think that was all that serious. The tricep injury was the one that pretty much ended his career.

Re: DT John Jenkins to PUP to start camp
When could he be ready, top shape? He looked good last season, I'm looking for him to be better this season.

Not ideal but also not the end of the world. Jenkins plays a specific role so #1 is get healthy. #2 is eat blockers for lunch.

Re: DT John Jenkins to PUP to start camp
Any questions why we kept Bunkley and his salary?!?
Wish we could've grabbed this kid late in the draft... http://media.govolsxtra.com/media/im...20949_t607.JPG |
Re: DT John Jenkins to PUP to start camp
At least we have the cap room to sign another player and there are always a few vet nose tackles on the market. And we can play Hicks at the nose too. Options.
