Haslett loves Sully?
http://www.profootballweekly.com/PFW...?mode=nfcsouth
More than a few players were irked last week when DT Shaun Smith was released after stopping off at the press box to grab a meal prior to the Saints’ Week 12 matchup with the Falcons. Smith and DT Johnathan Sullivan both grabbed plates in the media room and chowed down, but only Smith paid the price. We’re told Saints officials and head coach Jim Haslett were embarrassed by the players’ conduct, but the punishment in the two cases was very different. Smith was released whereas Sullivan was not punished at all. Sources say the No. 6 overall selection of the 2003 draft wasn’t even fined for his transgression. Add to it the fact that Sullivan didn’t go into the locker room at halftime and instead stayed on the field to watch the halftime show. The clear double standard for Smith and Sullivan raised more than a few eyebrows, but we’re told the Saints just weren’t willing to give up on Sullivan, whom they’ve already paid more than $11 million in guaranteed money.
It looks like the fastest way to be labeled a "locker room cancer" is to call Haslett on a pretty uneven way of keeping discipline. Some guys get away with murder, some guys get the death penalty for the same offense. Funny stuff.
