Depends on time of possession.

I figure if Deuce runs for about 120 yards, then Jones will run about the same.

If Dallas\' defense can hold Deuce to 80 yards or so, then Jones runs 150+.

He will get as many as parcells wants him to get..they have a far superior line...and Parcells knows it..and..he loves to run screens..I watch Dallas play almost every week...and thier defense has alot of skill..and determination...

at least..135 yards..2 td\'s..and several catches..prolly 60 recieving yards..

Tap those brakes just a hair, I believe they have a better line than we do, but \"far superior\"? If that was the case, Reshard Lee would have been the clear starter during Jones\' abscence, and he would be hitting 100 yards every game.

Maybe a little off-topic here, but still relevant to J. Jones\' yardage...

Has anyone else wondered why the Cowboys haven\'t tried Eddie George out at fullback? We\'ve all watched George over the years, and at least a few of us probably remember how dominant he once was. These days, the unbelievable workload and constant pounding have obviously taken their toll. He\'s lost much more than a \"step,\" and at best he could only be considered a short-yardage or goal line threat at RB.

Still, George appears to be in good shape. He\'s a big guy who\'s never been prone to injury. He has surprisingly soft hands and has always been an excellent blocker. Is the Tuna missing the obvious, here?

The move wouldn\'t be without precedent. Ernest Byner had a respectable end to his career (with the Redskins, Ravens) by moving from RB to FB when his age began to catch up with him. I could be wrong, but I think Larry Csonka & Kevin Mack made similar moves in their waning years.

I realize George\'s ego may be a factor, but he\'s always struck me as one who really wants to help his team win, regardless of his role. Why not give FB a try? It would be better than rotting away on the bench behind a rookie...

I guess another \"no-name\" back will have a career day. :casstet:

Yeah, I thought about him, but before Julius Jones returned the Cowboys had been using Anderson more like a third-down back or to spell George. Anderson (6\'02, 230) is not quite as big as George (6\'03, 242). He\'s also 2 years older and over the course of his career has been more injury-prone.

It\'s clear the Cowboys have got their RB situation settled with Jones. The only way I could see George continuing to contribute at all was with a move to FB.

As for Julius Jones this week, I\'ll be shocked if he gets any less than 160 yards, 2 TD\'s. Hope he\'s on your fantasy team...

Possibly. The Saints could very possibly keep individual backs from Dallas under 100 yards for the day, but that doesn\'t mean they won\'t have 250+ yards combined.

I predict 175 yards and 2 TD\'s for Jones. It\'s pretty sad me saying this, but I hope I\'m right. I just picked him up on one of my fantasy teams. Pretty bad when I\'m more excited about my fantasy leagues than the Saints.

The Saints D will be extremely stingy, and hold Jones to 75 yards and no TDs!!!!!!

As far as the second quarter goes however, I\'m not sure. Neither for the 3rd or 4th.

Flozell Adams...Larry Allen....that\'s who is on the side left of center...now..who do we have that can even begin to compare to that?

They aren\'t going to have to try too hard in this one...just run it on the Saints all day...we can\'t stop anybody...and the Boys have a line that will dominate our lack luster d line all day long...

watch the game..and see how effective they run it on the left...

Being that Jones has fresh legs-60yds+being that he\'s a rookie-74yds+being that he\'s on a team who\'s coach knows how to finish a team in disarray...priceless! tot.=32car-212yds.

If you read my posts, you know I live in Dallas, so I always \"watch the game\".
You stating that the line is \"far superior\" is off, in my opinion. I\'ll agree that they are better than what we have, but \"far superior\" is overrating them. Lee is a great runner, but lacks vision. If the Dallas line was \"far superior\", it wouldn\'t matter if he had vision or not, he\'d have the holes to break for 100 every game.
Jones impressed me in the last two games. His patience is outstanding for a rookie. He seemed to glide down the line until he found a hole to run through. He\'s making Parcells look like a genius for pulling the trigger on that trade.

Jones goes for 160, Dallas goes for 350 plus total yards, keeping our defense on pace to challenge for the worst in the 40 year NFL history...
And next week we\'ll hear Brooks is the problem. :icon_eyesroll:

No reason to state the obvious Danno..that\'d be a waste of typing. Besides, don\'t sell us short, he could come up with a whole new way of looking like an idiot next week and then we can write some more. :o

LOL!

If Dallas wins the toss; we could \"touch\" the ball 7 times in the 1st quarter:
Kick to Dallas. ( long Dallas drive).
Receive Kick off
Snap to Brooks (Throw)
Snap to Brooks (Handoff)
Prior to the Snap - False Start
Snap to Brooks (Throw)
Punt away to Dallas. (long Dallas drive sees end of 1st quarter).

Jones better have a career day, because at least once I\'m betting that Grant drops the hammer on Vinny\'s 40 year old frame.

I think the reason Brooks gets so much discussion-time, in lieu of the defense, is due to simple sakes of argument. People are willing to discuss AB\'s merits, or lack thereof, at great length (see our resident Frankenstein\'s monster thread). By comparison, noone is willing to argue a news flash telling us how woeful our defense is. As for who is the problem ... it\'s a lot worse than either Brooks or the defense can be credited with...

If I had to guess, I\'d say 88 yards and 1 Td (off of a terrible pass inteference call). Just a guess though. :yltype:
