In May, the New Orleans Saints made a classy gesture when they announced they had signed Devon Walker -- a Tulane safety who was paralyzed from the neck down after colliding with a teammate during a 2012 game.

Back then, Saints coach Sean Peyton said Walker, who graduated from the New Orleans university with a degree in cell and molecular biology, "is not only an inspiration to his coaches and teammates at Tulane, but to all of us.
