Cooks looks like the real deal

That TD was awesome. Dude looks like a vet already. I'm pumped to have him. Him and Jimmy lining up together is going to be a nightmare for D coordinators.

The TD was great, but he did a lot of good things. He went over the middle a couple times and made some tough catches in traffic. Ran a quick slant. Didn't let get himself jammed at the line. Kid's not just a gadget player, he's a real wide receiver and I honestly think he might be our #1 this time next year.

When he caught the ball on that TD, the way he just planted his foot and left that DB standing dumbfounded.

Colston and Graham will both see stat elevation as a result of Cooks ability to spread the field. I really think he's our offenses missing piece.

I look forward to many Saints' opponent broken ankles this year.

Sometimes just a few plays is all it takes. This kid will be a star.

He could be as good as Cordarrelle Patterson was his rookie season up in MN last year. Cooks isn't just quick, he is flat out fast.

Cooks looked like an experienced veteran out there last night. He works hard to be the best he can be and is not afraid of hard work.

Cooks didn't look like a rookie in his first preseason game. I'm very optimistic. Not only for him but for what he can mean to the offense as a whole.

Yeah it was good but I didn't see anything remotely what everyone has been reporting from camp... there has been A LOT of hype but just hasn't translated into that game.

The rams pretty much double covered him whenever he was on the field, the commentators kept repeating that the rams are "scared to death of what cooks can do with the ball in his hands"

You put our full starting offense out there, who you going to double?
If you double graham, cooks, stills and colston will work the underneath and intermediate routes and absolutely destroy the defense

Then not to mention Ingram, Khiry and PT, its going to be a fun year!

He's my new, favorite player in the NFL.

for the time on the field i was also expecting a better showing. but so far so good. he needs some coaching on getting off the line when gamed.

5 for 55 w/ 1 TD; not bad for your first game ever with limited snaps

Looks good all the way around. That being said - I was really waiting on that cut he made.

He only had one realistic chance to make a play and he turned it into a TD. All his other catches were in traffic or with a safety right on top of the route. But we should be encouraged by those plays too because most rookie WR's will not make those tough catches between two DBs like that.

Yep. Toon has been here what 3 years now and still can't do it.

What people should realize is that his presence is probably the main factor in the Saints RBs suddenly finding so much running room. You can't put 7 or 8 in the box with Cooks out there.

Imagine what he's going to look like when he really learns the pro game. He looked okay out there for a veteran. He looked great for it being his first game.

i love the fact he caught the ball but the desire to get a first was disappointing to say the least. guy that size needs to learn to fall forward like Colston. my responce time and time again "what a wimp".
