Sunseri laid a big hit on tight end Josh Hill on Monday and followed that up with a nasty lick on tight end Nic Jacobs. Rob Ryan says Saints 'excited' about rookie safety Vinnie Sunseri | NOLA.com |

I'm optimistic that Vinnie, Ball and Warren all make the final roster based on their camp performances thus far. The safety position is awfully crowded.

Ryan said he is going to employ a 5 safety system. I could even see one more making it on the bench or PS.

Re: Rob Ryan says Saints 'excited' about rookie safety Vinnie Sunseri
Sunseri was all over in the Rams game, going at full speed for a rookie that has to be tough not knowing exactly where he should be and trying to grasp the playbook. I liked what I saw out of him in that game and think he will only get better the more he plays.
