Ryan helped by value Saints place on smart players
WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, W.Va. (AP) -- New Orleans Saints defensive coordinator Rob Ryan shows as much interest in simplifying his notoriously complex schemes as he shows in cutting his long silver hair.
''We don't coach a brain-dead scheme,'' Ryan told The Associated Press on Tuesday during training camp at The Greenbrier resort. ''We're going to coach good football and whatever our players can handle, that's what I'm going to give them.'' https://sports.yahoo.com/news/ryan-h...9882--nfl.html |

Funny that the reason he got fired in Dallas is they said his defense was too complicated and the players couldn't learn it. Nah, we don't need smarter players, just fire the coach, that'll fix it!

If he puts up another good defensive year, Bensen better pull out his pocketbook. Cause money may be the only thing that's keeps him here. Not saying he's shallow but I think money is the only combat to a possible head coaching job.
