Predicting one Surprise Player for Each NFL Team in 2014
New Orleans Saints: Terron Armstead, Offensive Tackle
Now firmly entrenched in as the Saints starting left tackle, Armstead now has the ability to show the entire football world what many insiders already knew. He has the talent to be a dominating pass-protecting tackle along Drew Brees’ blindside. Despite playing against less-than-stellar competition in college at Arkansas-Pine Bluff, Armstead didn’t seem to have too much of a learning curve as a rookie. In fact, he even held his own at left tackle against the Seattle Seahawks in the playoffs. That pretty much tells you what he brings to the table. If he hones some technique issues (pad level too high sometimes), Armstead could put up a Pro Bowl-caliber 2014 season. One player from each NFL team who may surprise you in 2014 |

I've read that he may be our best offensive player this season. (move over Drew) That's fantastic for a 3rd round pick.

Re: Predicting one Surprise Player for Each NFL Team in 2014
I'm going with Mr. Mark Ingram, I got a good feeling this is the year he explodes. I have not given up on him the entire time he has been a Saint, although I have expected it sooner, this is his year to show it all. McCoy from Philly was a real late bloomer but took off, I expect the same from Ingram. I'm also expecting the O-line to do a much better job in the run game.

You guys' surprise players aren't really what I'd call surprise players.
My surprise player is Cam Jordan. I think he plays pretty well this year.:p |

Mark Ingram would definitely be the surprise...
Armstead is developing right in line as a third round pick... Lelito should be the surprise player on offense though... The rest of the nation may be surprised about guys like Hicks or Keenan Lewis (well Steeler fans are still upset), but we know what we have on defense... |
