Drew Brees of New Orleans Saints expected to return Saturday vs. Indianapolis Colts - ESPN

"I feel good," said Brees, who missed the past two weeks with a strained oblique. "Today was my first day to kind of be full-go. I've been taking it very slow, very deliberate. No use in rushing something that could get worse. I wanted to make sure it was all good.

"I'm still not 100 percent, but I hope that by Saturday I am."

He needs to get his timing down with his receivers and you don't get that sitting on the bench. More important than that though is keeping Drew healthy and upright. Playing Drew with a backup line doesn't excite me, it makes me nervous and our guards have been out for a while now.

2 TE sets running stretch plays, which then sets up the play action pass

Let the running backs take the pressure of Brees so he has plenty of time to throw and get into a rhythm

The colts defensive line has played well so far in the preseason, our O line has yet to give up a sack, Brees needs to be kept clean
