I really think we will keep beaucoup safeties on the squad this year, especially since we are not very deep at CB. I can see a lot of 3 safety looks this year, just like last year, and use the 3rd safety in a nickel type of situation or in the box on blitzing downs.

If Byrd was not ready for contact, he would not play at all. I truly think he is ready and will flourish in our system. No matter how good he is, he needs to get acclimated to game speed, contact, yada yada. :givemebeer:

Even though the injury situation at cornerback isn't ideal, think of it this way

Vaccaro played the slot for the most of last season, SP said he was drafted specifically because how he can cover matchup nightmares like tavon Austin was in college

We may be a little dinged up but our team is designed to be versatile
