#44 Brian Dixon

goat last two weeks and seems to have a light come on this week. high hopes for him going into OTAs. so lets see what happens next.

that TD pass was perfectly dropped over the should in stride. very hard to defend. only issue is he was not in the proper position to defend a pass like that. gotta strip it out if you aint got the hops. that is nit picking a bit i know. but that is all football IQ

i like what i say for the most part

ILB yardage galore again this year in between the hashes. gotta keep a safety in there to baby sit the ILB in passing situations on our side of the field, they can not defend the pass at all. diddle pooh pass coverage ability.

And that is how you get beat over the top, forcing one of your safeties to cheat up because the LB's don't have much coverage depth.

Every team has an achilles heel, that may be ours, even with Byrd back there. He can't cover both sides.

maybe when cuts come out we can at least show some desire to address the issue.

Or hope that Knox, Fortt and Powell develop much faster (pun intended) than normal.

Toon-not disappointed, but not impressed. That deep ball was defended well, but Toons game is to make that play. Not saying he should have, but he could have.

KRobinson- Not seeing that burst and balance as much as I'd hoped, but I was expecting a lot.

AustinJohnson- we can go with him at FB and not miss one beat

Dimeke-I like what I see

Agree with you and JP and will add:

We don't wonder if PT will lose his step or Brees will lose his arm... Those things are inevitable, leaving us wondering when.

Only answer I am concerned with.
Not this season.

I did not at any one time during the game last night think "if only Sproles were on the field". I love the petit pois, but we didn't miss him.

We looked remarkably gelled for a team with as much turnover as we have had in key spots the last two years.

The entire region of North West Harris County shook when I saw Drew pull that frackin shovel pitch/pass/whateverthephuck again.

Over all I have an eerie good feeling about this season.

Make no mistake, we have better linebackers than Lofton and Hawthorne...

They've got job security because of the salary cap ramifications of releasing them...

Injuries last year forced the coaches' to play the younger guns, and it proved fortuitous...

Don't want to see men get hurt, but damn, sit 'em and learn from last season's lesson...

Geaux with Humber, Knox, Reddick, Fortt - Let 'em freaking play...

And make a commitment to draft early round talent at LB and get a coach that can finally develop same...

Humber, Knox, Reddick, - maybe a slight improvement in coverage but they are much the same, run thumpers

Fortt - still no idea what he brings. they moved him out side and the Leg/Foot injury does not help.
