New Orleans saints quarterback Drew Brees was absent from practice on Monday. Brees is expecting his fourth child with his wife Brittany due any day.

"I think everything is going good and hopefully we'll hear something," said Saints coach Sean Payton, who confirmed the news after practice.

Victor Butler, who has not practiced for several weeks with an undisclosed injury, took part in the walkthrough and some individual drills.

Rafael Bush, Kenny Stills and Khairi Fortt were not dressed out. Erik Lorig and Marcus Ball were among those absent.

Glad it's not the regular season. He always plays bad the game after a baby, so put him in for 1 drive against the Ravens Thursday and get it out of his system...
