this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Kicker is the only position that I am aware of where college experience directly translates to NFL ability and experience. Most college kickers kick the majority of their career out doors so coming to the NFL may actually make things ...

Kicker is the only position that I am aware of where college experience directly translates to NFL ability and experience. Most college kickers kick the majority of their career out doors so coming to the NFL may actually make things a little easier.
College crowds can be just as large and loud. The defense doesn't affect a kickers accuracy. Difference between the ball is a 1/2 a stripe and a very slight size difference. Everything else is moot. Now that I think about it, kicking is similar to golf.
