Barring injury I say the Saints win at least 12 games and I would not be surprised if they finished 12-4/14-2.

Defensive weakness - pass coverage by LBs

Defensive worry - #2 starting CB

Offensive weakness - maybe the O line???

Offensive worry - #3 WR

Expect a much-improved coverage unit on ST this year.

As long as the all important #1 seed keeps us in the Dome.

Agree.

I don't think so. I'd qualify it if you said "Injury to #2 CB." Robinson was playing well last year when he got hurt. Bailey is unknown because he's been hurt. And White did fill in pretty well. It's injury I'd worry about, not talent.

Nope. Barring injury the line is solid.

I cannot see it, again barring injury. The #3 receiver is one of Cooks, Stills, or Morgan. All I see is speed, speed, and superspeed. I could even live with Meachem in that slot if we came down to it. Toon... well I'm not sold yet.

If our best 16-17 offensive players remain healthy, there is nothing on offense to worry about. And I really mean that.

We can only hope.

My prediction the last couple of years has been 13-3. This is the year that it works for me. 13-3 :bng:

Of course the floor will only be realized with an injury to a certain father of four.

If he plays the year the floor is 10 and a wildcard.

The ceiling is 14-2 or maybe even 15-1 with some defensive or ST touchdowns...

If we run a balanced O, 13-3. If we abandon the run as soon as we get behind 10-6 maybe 11-5 depending on the kicker.

Barring key or excessive injuries (not easy to do), I can see 13 wins.

Even with excessive injuries, as long as one of them isn't Brees I see a minimum of 9. And thats if we get absolutely hammered with injuries.

I have you guys at 13-3 with the #1 seed.

I agree. So far I have seen very little drop off on D and special teams.

I want to feel good about Robinson but even though he's played over 40 games with the Saints I still don't get a sense of confidence. "Playing well last year" was all of two games... He did good things vs Indy. Also some lapse in coverage. Bailey gives me zero confidence. Of all three, Corey White has me the least worried - especially with Byrd and Vaccaro roaming the top.

Not without it's issues. Brees was sacked 37 times last year. This year; two new faces - one young and one old. I like what I've seen from the run game so far. Pass blocking looked good vs Indy when Brees was in.

Stills - potential year long quad problem
Meachem - tends to disappear for long stretches
Morgan - somewhat unproven, hampered by injury
Cooks - tons of ability and upside, still a rookie (and small) The 2013 Kenny Stills disproves that argument but you get what I'm saying.

Without a doubt.

And look, I'm not being a downer - I think this team is built better than last season, I'm just concerned about a handful of "potential" issues outside of injury

Like the article states even the floor is a winning season. However 9-7 will not get us in to the playoffs.

Robinson and Bailey looked great. Luck could only throw on our LBs, and Luck is a good QB. Bailey got 20 snaps against the 1s and had no targets against him; that's a good thing.

That has been my prediction all along. Us and you in NFC championship. I have to stick to my pick but that being said.. I saw us with 5 losses but 3 of those were going to be in the vaunted NFC West. I am not sure that is the case anymore. The Niners look horrible. Something is wrong with that team. Ahmad Brooks isn't practicing because he is fat... FAT!! He is a veteran leader and he shows up fat??? Arizona has lost Dansby, Dockett and Washington and The Rams have lost Bradford. Your division looks tougher than ours right now to be honest. We might just get home field because our division is getting significantly weaker.

^^To me, this is the big worry. We do not play well in Seattle -- no one does.

But, what the hell, it's a long season, anything could happen.

Seattle is already playing tough and credit them if they stay healthy.

Anyone concerned about us being at the top of the penalty chart?

Well the good news is that I don't see any chance in Hell that you lose to the Niners at home. Before training camp I saw that as a potential loss but the team I have seen is going to get destroyed by the Saints.

Maybe if Cousins takes over RG3. He has well outplayed him.

Think Hebert is right on this - NFL won't let refs call that many in regular season due to TV. 4 hour games are not popular - barring OT
