The move makes me scratch my head skill wise and what has been shown in camp/preseason. However, Meachum's veteran minimum cost is way higher.

I'm curious what they're doing keeping that many Safety spots on the roster as well as 2 FBs. Lorig hasn't seemed to do much if anything at all but we did pay for him vs Johnson who to me has done well.

In Loomis we trust.........

I would expect Meachem was cut because Joe Morgan fills the same role in the offense. He's younger, faster, cheaper than Meachem.

I think we might end up seeing Lorig put on IR/PUP to make room for whatever kicker they sign Monday.

YUP. Plus Morgan can actually make the short to medium range catches to boot. Still surprised they cut Meach, but onward and upward.

I like Dixon making the team. But cutting Warren to keep Ball that stings, Warren has outplayed him hands down. I really hope he clears waivers but I doubt it.

The only thing I can think of is that Ball has shown more with his days in the CFL... He's been fighting injury this whole off-season...

Disappointing finish of 2013 and poor preseason. Rookie kicker outperformed him.
