I had forgotten the kid had world class speed. At 1st I thought it was absurd to mention him replacing PRob so soon.

But read the article... Its not as far-fetched as it originally sounded. Two things make it quite believeable...

One - The 6’0, 200 lb. Dixon has extremely quick hips and feet, and ran an “unofficial” 4.34 at his Pro Day with outstanding ball skills.

Two - Wesley McGriff. The man knows CB's as well as anyone and I'm sure he had a thing or two to say about which CB's he wanted to keep.

After what Keenan Lewis looked like last preseason and then what he did in the regular season; I'll hold my judgement of whether he "sucks" or not until after a couple of regular games...

PRob will be on a short leash this season. Dixon is hungry and coming. I don't think he is satisfied with just making the 53 man roster.

Currently behind SJB on the depth chart but if this WIP thing with him drags out a little longer Dixon could steal some playing time.

Anyone else a little surprised that an UDFA CB is being talked about replacing our #2 CB and not our 2nd round draft pick?

I like Dixon's fire and attitude. He wants it. But, he's just not seasoned and disciplined enough yet. I'm still giving Robinson the benefit of the doubt until the regular season begins. Ryan was very vanilla in the preseason and the most important thing for PRob was to get some reps and stay healthy. He did that.

LOL, what a stupid article.

The whole thing is based on the premise that Pat Robinson stinks and is a bust. People who actually watch and understand football know that he is a solid NFL #2 corner when: A) he is healthy and B) is not playing in a crappy Steve Spagnuolo defensive scheme.

I like Brian Dixon. I actually like him a lot. But come on.
