It IS a cool statue and it was nice to see Mr. Benson moved to the point of tears. Just from the build-up though, you thought it was going to be something a lot more important.

I thought it was going to be a "DirecTV customers WILL be able to watch the game on Sunday without purchasing an antenna and then switching inputs to watch other NFL Ticket games during commercials and halftime of the Saints game". Alas, it was just a statue.

My my, how far we have come. From a guy who didn't want to show his face, or his team, in Louisiana after Katrina, to a guy with a statue of himself outside the stadium.

Amazing what winning a Superbowl does for a guy's reputation.

cool he was the one that brought it all here.

plus he owns the city and gets all he needs from the state. there should have been a few tax payers under foot on the base of that statue.
