Game Day meal?
What is your game day meal? I put a lot of thought into mine.
Can't have me cooking past 11. Can't make want to sleep after kick-off. Can't require a whole lot of cleaning up afterwards. Must be able to keep me satisfied until after the game. Must be able to be served again for Dinner incase I'm to mad to cook again or too drunk to drive. I'm deciding now. |
Re: Game Day meal?
Pasta with tuna and cheese, 3 reasons behind it
Pasta is naturally filling so you don't have to waste time making tons of it Boil the kettle and in typical guy fashion - let the dishes "soak" for a good 3-4 hours :P It takes all of 10 minutes to make and it saves me from walking around anxiously before game time! |

My usual Sunday fare:
Chicken and Rice. Cream Stout Punch. Reasons: Sunday ritual. Always had chicken and rice as a kid. The punch is awesome. |

Re: Game Day meal?
Yard Birds, taco salad, potato salad, bbq baked beans all ready and served for kickoff ! Thats how we do it

Re: Game Day meal?
I thought about smoking a brisket or boston butt for pulled pork but they are temp defendant and I'm not risking it still cooking past kickoff

Re: Game Day meal?
Wings, chips, dip... the usual.
I may get a bit wild and have some celery and carrot sticks with some ranch dip. Trying to keep it relatively healthy. Don't wanna lose this boyish figure of mine! https://encrypted-tbn2.gstatic.com/i...WA3Gh194R2KMqe |
Re: Game Day meal?
I gotta be honest with y'all. I'm divorced and broke. But I have Sunday Ticket. So I'll probably eat Tabasco Spam, white trash nachos (chips with grated cheddar microwaved) served on paper plates and a lot of Miller Lite.
Ah the life of a divorced cop. Hey! At least I have Sundays off this year! |
