What we have today that we didnt have 2 weeks ago
Is to be able to look forward all week to the team getting back out there and redeeming themselves. Hell its football. At least its not the offseason. I live for this time of year. No matter what I know I have something to look forward to next week. You guys need to quit acting butt hurt because I can guarantee you the players aren't as pisssy as some of you.

If the Saints offense or defense wants to shyt in the bed on some games, then make it when they are playing an AFC team instead of a division or conference game. |
Re: What we have today that we didnt have 2 weeks ago
3 things:
0-1 0-1 in the division 0-1 in the conference What did I miss? |

That is the definition of bandwagon fan. So don't watch. I know you better than that, you are just pissed, you will get over it and watch every week win or loose. |
Re: What we have today that we didnt have 2 weeks ago
The butthurt will stop when everyone stops making post talking about it...

Honestly, I have every idea what happened to us was we ran into a team playing their superbowl in week 1 and we just weren't ready. Lesson learned and I'm still the biggest homer in the place. |

The players seem concerned, and from watching the interviews today I don't see any fire from RR... Where did the heart and passion go? I guess we'll find out on Sunday. If the Browns put up more than 300 total yards on our D, we have serious problems. |

Preach it brother! Personally.... Id much rather watch the Saints lose with Graham going 8/82 and Drew throwing for 333 than watch one more damn episode of any-damn-thing-else-onTV. I do understand their frustration though. The last two Saints games anyone has seen have been painful. Seattle then Atlanta. They have earned the right to be frustrated and vent. |
Re: What we have today that we didnt have 2 weeks ago
Win or lose, I will continue to be happy watching the Saints play on Sunday. It is a highlight of my week.
I don't know about two weeks ago, but what we didn't have last year was an appreciative, optimistic Dude. You go on with you bad new self, Dude. I'm just waiting to see who will fill the gap. ;-) |
Re: What we have today that we didnt have 2 weeks ago
i love the fact that all that crap in the off season in press clipping can be thrown out of the window finally. oh the greatest turn around. oh the greatest team on paper blah blah blah.
that stuff is poison i tell you. poison not only for the players but the fan as well might be a blessing that it happened right out of gate. If the defense continues to get it butt whipped as bad as it did in Atlanta they are going to need all the TP they can get |

You are notoriously pessimistic. I am sometimes pessimistic if I think there is good reason to be, but you post all throughout the offseason about things that worry you, and then after one game you think you have the right to turn the tables on everyone else. That's not how it works. |

As I said in another post, if the offense can put up 34 in every away game, I'll take my chances. SFIAH |
Re: What we have today that we didnt have 2 weeks ago
.....and looking at our divisions schedules this week, we could be tied for the division by Monday, it's all good. Splitting with Atlanta makes it a wash anyway, at least on the division level, hurts conference wise but Seattle's division shows promise early of not being a lock for them anyway.
LONG way to go. |

Not to derail the thread but did anyone else notice it looked like the Falcons had just won the Superbowl w/ GM & owner on the sidelines, last few minutes of the game? They blew their wad in one game, can't wait to see the Falcons implode the rest of the season (I hope)...

But is it really a complex if it's true? |

Think about how all of us here would feel If the reverse happened. Say they came to the Super Dome and the exact same thing happened except we won. We would be furious that they came into our house and almost beat us after we put up 30 plus points. We would hold our defense accountable for allowing Atlanta to score that many points in our own Dome. We would be scared to death because we would know if Roddy White hadn't dropped that ball in overtime they probably would have won. That's the difference between us and them. All this happens at their stadium and they act like they are the best team in the NFL and have nothing to improve on. Happens at our stadium and we would be just as nervous as we are now going into next weeks game even though we won. Yea our defense blew, but in spite of that Atlanta barely eeked out a win in overtime. Hell that was the most yards Atlanta has ever put up in a game in franchise history and they still almost lost. They have to hang onto the little things because they have never had anything worth putting in a trophy case. And they will implode. They will believe the hype and lay some eggs. Roddy is already gimpy just like he was last season after one game. Julio will probably get banged up as well. |
