What Browns fans are saying

Just took a quick look at the browns forum to see what their fans were saying and thought I'd share some of their thoughts

Firstly, I was suprised to see quite a lot of them calling Joe Haden "only average," they have said he struggles with guys like antonio brown, the same guy Brandin cooks was compared to in the draft process
He matches up well with tall receivers but struggles with the smaller shiftier players
Depending on where we line cooks up, He could have a big day either way, SP loves matching colston up on linebackers though, I think that's a matchup we will try to exploit

Justin Gilbert their rookie CB - they have said he looks completely lost out there, surrendering big gains and not tackling well

I know on every forum there's a couple of delusional fans, I laughed a little when I read quite a few saying they weren't scared of our team because they beat us in 2010.....like yeah that's how it works, completely different team

Obviously they saw the falcons game and I don't blame them for being optimistic about putting points up on our D, most of them are saying the normal "keeping brees off the field is the way we win" sort of talk, which I can understand
I think/hope our D will go back to basics, if they do it will be much improved this week

In short, I think Cooks has the opportunity to have a big day, but I wouldn't be surprised If someone like stills, morgan, meachem gets left open as they try to matchup with cooks, colston, graham

I hope Ingram runs angry, I like watching him run when he wants to hit someone

let me know your thoughts!

We should be able to push Vaccaro and Byrd up towards the box a bit more in this one. If our CB cant match the Browns one on one without the big we have big issue cushions of last week we have some major issues.

We must collapse the pocket better this week. Too many times last week the pressure was just about there on Ryan and he found a escape route and had plenty of time.

Other than the perennial difference maker, turnovers, its gonna be decided by their run game versus our D-line and LB's.

They have a much better defense than Atlanta and a better O-line.

If turnovers are even, we win by 6.

Good ol dawg pound fans... I would love to have an 'average Joe' down in New Orleans.

They sound ridiculous.

I worry about this game. They are a lot better than the Browns have been in the past. Their defense could potentially give us problems.

But, I think our guys understand how disastrous an 0-2 start would be, so we'll go into it ready to take care of business. Not a blowout but we should win by 7 to 10 points.

The Browns have the makings of a very very good defence. Their offense are not nearly as good thou with Gordon gone and the TE banged up.

I think our guys will come out guns blazing to try and just pummel the Browns from the start. I hope Vaccaro can lay the boom early on defense. Offensivly i hope Ingram can get 10 more carries than last week. Its when he get many carries he thrives and with 20+ he'll have a 100yd day and under coach Payton a 100yd day by a RB means we are winning like 95% of the time.

All speculation until our D shows up.

"Offense wins games... (to be continued)"

look at that OL they are building. talk about sweet.

LT Joe Thomas
LG Joel Bitonio
C Alex Mack
RG John Greco
RT Mitchell Schwartz

they may run a bit more to the left side? ya think?

That is a great OL. I think if the Browns could just get stability for a yar or two and an above average QB they will be a perennial play-off team.

They're just a QB away, and Johnny ain't the answer.

The Browns gotta get it together soon...since Big Ben and the Steelers D are getting up in years, the Ravens are proving to be spotty, and Cincy is perennially good but not great, year in and year out.....there is a real opportunity there for the Browns to challenge that division they're in, whereas 4-5 years ago it was a much tougher road for them, trying to beat all those teams. Just hope they start turning it around week after next.

Teams that start 0-2 have a 12% shot at the playoffs. Doesn't matter if they are road losses, non-conference losses, losses to the lighthouse for the blind.

12%.

Think losing the first game not a big deal?

Let's face reality.

I am here in Cleveland and all the talk is which team is going to show up Browns or Saints.

One radio station here has the Saints rolling over the Browns big though.

That team believes in Hoyer. That boy does have a bit of magic about him. We treat him like we treated Matty last week and we're not going home with a smile on our faces.

Part of the problem with the game last week was how Ryan reacted; usually he made a mistake when pressured, this time he scrambled out of trouble.

Well... That statement makes me ask.. Perhaps they are a QB and a GM away?

Essentially if the GM drafted someone that wasn't the answer then he doesn't have the ability to find the answer.

But don't they have a new GM, again? I think they change GM's about every other year don't they?

And its just my opinion on Johnny Myself, I could be wrong. I was wrong about Cam Newton. I thought he'd be a big old crybaby me-me player... No wait, I guess I was right about Cam.

I disagree about Johnny. I mean he needs to hit the playbook. His football IQ isn't nearly where it should be. Once he figures that out and studies defenses he could be good but he is like way behind because the School he came from...

Thats why its a hard sell to figure bust or not he he can buckle down and focus on football and not Vegas.

If the D doesn't show up it's going to be close. If it does we win big.

Re: What Browns fans are saying

I know if we give their QB the same amount of time Ryan had we are in trouble. ATL was on their 30th string tackles and we still couldn't get pressure. I still say we win by two TDs though. Our D will be pissed. One of our main pass rushers was just a little full of ribeyes from that big payday but he should be hungry again.
