When?

The only person I have seen picked apart is Robinson.

Pre-season he sucked and he sucks now...

Robinson should have been cut 2 years ago......he must have pictures on somebody because it isn't his skills that are keeping him around!

I'm talking about 2012. Baptiste sucked in preseason too. The fact is we don't have any corners that can we sub Prob.

I am referring to our D is 2012 as far seeing this type of porous D. PRob was on that team too. So was white and most of our D line and LB.

Lewis has looked bad, Vaccaro has looked bad, Byrd has looked bad.

No one looks good.

Robinson has never looked good. Even if he is replaced our Defense will still be bottom of the league. Ryan needs to start sending more blitzes because our D-line is not capable of getting there.

Byrd has looked completely non existent, where all these ball hawking instincts we didn't hear the end of all offseason

He's never been around the ball, several passes could have been picked off today

Bailey must of been horrible to be cut from this defensive backfield

voodooido 09-14-2014 06:33 PM

Re: The Patrick Robinson Retirement thread

This is the same defense from last year with a couple of upgrades. They have the talent. That just leaves the coaching. Ryan is getting abused.

Re: The Patrick Robinson Retirement thread

I thought about it and I actually think that for what Robinson is doing on the field. I could stand up at the snap and just watch the QB, then run to get to the ball after he threw it and get closer to the play than he does.

His holding and PI calls aren't when the ball is thrown his way.

PRob aka Jason David aka Fred Thomas aka Terrible.... I expect White to be starting next week.... its not all PRob because The whole Defense has looked terrible.... Hope we see a huge change next week or this could be a long season...

So was Sharpers, would you put him in Jason Davids class?

Yea Robinson sucks but both Byrd and Lewis got burned on 3rd and 12 today. I also heard that Vaccaro has missed twice as manytackles these two games than he did all of last year. Its hard for all this safety and DB talent to gel when your line is generating no pressure and your linebackers are basically non existent.

Can't keep playing PRob-lem!!

FWIW... SNF said that the defense looks too fancy with these trick formations and blitzes... too weird if you use RR's language. Maybe they have a point.. they might need to keep it simple and stupid, KISS.

No... but Sharper was a FS... Im talking CB play and seeing PRob gettin picked on just reminds me of David and Thomas back in the day...

Can't put all the blame on PRob. I saw a lot of wide open receivers, not much pass rush on Hoyer, and the Offense had 2 turnovers

For a few years, he was a shut down corner. He played too long. From what I read, he was contemplating retiring twice and twice the Saints talked him into staying. They couldn't get anyone better than him.

Well... I only saw the final play and it made me sick.
Again I hate to blame one guy for the outcome of the game but reading everyones comments...
He needs to go

WhoDat2301 09-14-2014 11:41 PM

OK PRob Stinks

I tried to give him a break last week on the bad performance, but no he stinks. Oak even gave stats that stated he stunk. Today was horrible whenever the Browns needed a first down or any type of yardage guess who they went to.........PRob!!! We need to find a fix ASAP. Our D line needs to get a pass rush too. We had none again.

Re: The Patrick Robinson Retirement thread

P-rob had multiple chances to end the game, they threw at him on every 3rd down and he allowed every one to be caught

Know when to cut ties, he is a failed draft pick, we wasted a first round pick on a guy that wasn't projected to go until at least late second round at best

The team is a joke this year, only person playing well every week is Ingram and we neglect giving him the ball to close out the game

Mardigras9 09-15-2014 11:31 AM

Re: The Patrick Robinson Retirement thread

They all look bad, but P-Robs penalties move him to a level higher.

Re: The Patrick Robinson Retirement thread

The worst part is the Browns were without the #1 WR (Gordon) and their TE(Cameron). The rest of the WR's are horrible or over the hill. What will happen when PROB has to face a true #1?

Funny you should ask.. You mean like Julio Jones?

3 for 3 for 52 yards and 30 YAC

Corey should start.

Don't retire just put him in press coverage where he supposedly excels.

Re: The Patrick Robinson Retirement thread

Can we trade him to an opponent and at least get some points a few times a year from our draft pick?

Robinson and our third for a fifth rounder is about all we would get

The secondary in a whole probably would be playing better if A Hicks & John Jenkins start pushing the middle so the qb's won't be able to step up in the pocket.

I agree. It's not the only problem but I think it's a big contributor to the lack sacks from the ends and definitely isn't helping the secondary.
