Same odds were against most of our starters ever making an NFL roster.

Dallas lost 35-16 to Washington and 13-10 to Bills

Patriots lost 17-23 to Cincinnati & 10-3 to Jets

Giants lost 35-45 to Dallas and 35-13 to Packers

0-2 is definitely not how anyone thought the season would start.

But lets look at the positives:

The O-Line is playing fairly well
We are running the ball well, (when we run it)
No major injuries so far
Didn't have a blizzard of penalty flags like Week 1
Tackling seemed to be better

I am guardly optimistic about our season

Not too late to turn this boat around.

Last team to go into the playoffs 0-3 and win the Superbowl? Oh yeah, us. Long season, but the D better get there **** together soon.

Big difference in FINISHING a season losing 3 games, especially after winning 13 straight and STARTING a season 0-3

Would like to know more about the road records and defensive points per game/allowed, of those Giants and Patriots teams. That is how you dig yourself to the Super Bowl out of an 0-2 hole, by winning convincingly on the road.

No its definitely not too late, but it is highly unlikely. It would be different if we were playing the Seattles and Danvers and playing great games and losing. We are losing and looking like crap in the process. I don't have much hope for our D getting much better. Our O does start off sluggish sometimes but this D is totally lost.

Love the optimism. Just a frustrating time for a bunch of us sitting at 0-2. And remember...that Cowboy team was WITHOUT Emmitt Smith those first 2 games.

Would like to see if this movie ends up being a comedy or a tragedy.

I have no idea why I feel this way, because I can't justify it, but I think what we need is a home game, and we're about to get one. We're about to get back to .500 ball and then some is what I think.

Or maybe I'm just trying to help myself sleep better tonight? I don't know, but that's how I feel.

That's interesting historical stats, but that's all it is, history. It has nothing to do with the 2014 Saints. If the Saints can fix their defensive woes, they can still make the playoffs, if they make the playoffs, it's all about getting hot at the right time.

Hey, at least Atlanta, Seattle and San Francisco lost. 13 game win streak starts Sunday! (Sorry....I've been drinking....and I'm going to keep doing so until this nightmare ends Sunday)

Yeah, the Saints are only one game behind Seattle, San Fran, Green Bay and Chicago.

The SuperBowl Talk needs to stop until we can beat the likes of Cleveland; granted an improving team, but they shouldn't (and didn't) hand with us when we get going...

Until the base defense can get pressure and turnovers and until we run the ball consistently, throughout the game, there won't even be a playoff game...

Imagine the score if Gordon, Cameron and Tate had played against last nights defense.

Thanks. I suspected that this information would sorta look like this.

'07 Giants - 7-1 on the road

'01 Patriots were 5-3 on the road (not counting playoffs). The 0-2 start was with Drew Bledsoe at QB, not Tom Brady, who came in late in game 2 when Bledsoe got hurt (and the rest, as they say, is history). They also won a tough divisional game in overtime on the road in Buffalo that year (comparable to our Atlanta game).

Now. Ask yourself this. Do either of those scenarios sound to you like the current Brees/Payton/Ryan Saints, who have lost their last FIVE REGULAR SEASON GAMES IN A ROW, on the road?

accomplish your first goal and it all boils down to how you are playing at the end of the season.
