Same odds were against most of our starters ever making an NFL roster.

Re: 0-2 Teams That Have Won the Superbowl
Dallas lost 35-16 to Washington and 13-10 to Bills
Patriots lost 17-23 to Cincinnati & 10-3 to Jets Giants lost 35-45 to Dallas and 35-13 to Packers 0-2 is definitely not how anyone thought the season would start. But lets look at the positives: The O-Line is playing fairly well We are running the ball well, (when we run it) No major injuries so far Didn't have a blizzard of penalty flags like Week 1 Tackling seemed to be better I am guardly optimistic about our season |

Last team to go into the playoffs 0-3 and win the Superbowl? Oh yeah, us. Long season, but the D better get there **** together soon.

Would like to know more about the road records and defensive points per game/allowed, of those Giants and Patriots teams. That is how you dig yourself to the Super Bowl out of an 0-2 hole, by winning convincingly on the road.

Re: 0-2 Teams That Have Won the Superbowl
Thanks. I suspected that this information would sorta look like this.
'07 Giants - 7-1 on the road '01 Patriots were 5-3 on the road (not counting playoffs). The 0-2 start was with Drew Bledsoe at QB, not Tom Brady, who came in late in game 2 when Bledsoe got hurt (and the rest, as they say, is history). They also won a tough divisional game in overtime on the road in Buffalo that year (comparable to our Atlanta game). Now. Ask yourself this. Do either of those scenarios sound to you like the current Brees/Payton/Ryan Saints, who have lost their last FIVE REGULAR SEASON GAMES IN A ROW, on the road? |

Re: 0-2 Teams That Have Won the Superbowl
No its definitely not too late, but it is highly unlikely. It would be different if we were playing the Seattles and Danvers and playing great games and losing. We are losing and looking like crap in the process. I don't have much hope for our D getting much better. Our O does start off sluggish sometimes but this D is totally lost.
