Saints add running back Edwin Baker to practice squad, release Trevin Wade
1 Attachment(s)
The New Orleans Saints signed running back Edwin Baker to their practice squad Tuesday, two days after losing veteran running back Mark Ingram to a hand injury.
Baker played at Michigan State and was selected in the seventh round of the 2012 draft by the San Diego Chargers. Baker played late last year for the Cleveland Browns, rushing 43 times for 171 yards and two touchdowns. He was released last month. To make room for Baker, the Saints released defensive back Trevin Wade. A seventh-round draft pick of the Browns in 2012, Wade signed with the Saints late last year. He played in two regular season games and two postseason games. He was signed to the team's practice squad three weeks ago after failing to make the 53-man roster. read more |

The Saints released defensive back Trevin Wade.
Don't we need these. |

Numbers. I doubt anybody will pick up Wade until Ingram comes back, anyways.
5'8" 204 lbs & 4.53/40 time. Knock on him is competitiveness (seriously?) but above-average speed and above-average inside runner...according to the NFL.com Combine overview, anyways. |
