Batter Up, Khiry Robinson: Saints RB Due For Big Workload With Mark Ingram Out

Although Robinson and PT will play well, Air Payton will be cleared for take-off Sunday.

"Khiry Robinson and Pierre Thomas will be handed a bigger workload. Of course, we’ve seen what the PT Cruiser is capable of accomplishing as the N0. 1 option in the backfield, but it’s time to see what Khiry can do as the primary preference."

Not a Cadet fan. Not even on kickoffs

Me neither, he brings absolutely nothing to the team besides kickoff returns that barely make the 15 yard line.

My oh my, how will we get by splitting those 7 or 8 carries up among 3 RBs? I hope they don't get worn out.

Seems like PT was the only productive RB at one time, he always gets yards after contact, feed Mr. Reliable.

Seems like every season he's in top of PFFs list of elusive runners.

I blame Cheech and Chong on your senseless posts. :)

Robinson and PT need to take all the carries, I think a 2 headed monster will be much more effective than 3. I don't mind the 3 headed attack with Ingram being the other but not Cadet. I just don't feel Cadet has what it takes but I'll gladly eat crow if he proves me wrong. It's your time to shine or flame out Cadet, good luck!!

I suspect what we may see is KR/PT pounding it and Cooks taking on more of the Sproles role and seeing more carries. I have yet to see Cooks get bounced out on an end around...

I have to say, its a small sample size but 3 carries for 49 yards 2 first downs and 16.3 yards per carry makes me want to hand him the ball more than once or twice a game.

He broke his hand half way through the game and played through it the rest of the game like a beast, so ironic that when Ingram looks at his best we can't win games because the defense sucks

He took a helmet right on his hand and suffered a fracture. Played through the pain but after the Doctor examined it, "no play for you!"

Payton says he's day to day.

We seem to be just as qualified to critique them as you are to critique us.

Robinson has looked good so far, which I'm mildly surprised at since he looked like crap most of the preseason. We'll be fine with Robinson and PT and I really don't think we have to change the run game at all. Both of those guys can pound the rock between the tackles.

I hope Ingram gets better soon, but for the time being I think Khiry will do just fine

PT is always amazing. Khiry is very good -- but he is not running with the same passion and purpose as Ingram. But, I'll be happy to eat crow if he starts killin' it the next 4 games.

The thing I love about Khiry is he's always twisting, churning trying to get that extra yard or whatever. There were a couple times in the Browns game he was in on short yardage and wouldn't have got to the line except for the crazy extra effort. One of those was a TD. He's a lot like PT in that way. I think we'll be good with the running backs really. You hate to lose Ingram the way he's playing, but I can't imagine there's a team in the league with better #2 and #3 backs right now.

Leave Cadet on the side lines and feed the ball to PT and KR. That sounds like a good recipe for a win.
