Vikings' Captain Munnerlyn: Drew Brees should have been penalized, not me

So this a$$ clown believes he can do whatever he wants to a QB until the whistle blows!?

After watching the game film, Munnerlyn said no whistle had been blown to end the play in which he blitzed, wrapped up and then threw down Brees to the Superdome turf.

Munnerlyn believes Brees also should have been flagged on the play. After Munnerlyn hit Brees, along with safety Robert Blanton, Brees got in Blanton's face and shoved him.

"They can't allow quarterbacks to just get up and get in people's faces without throwing a flag on them, either," Munnerlyn said. "I thought it should have at least been offset(ing penalties).

Drew Brees should have been penalized for being slammed into the turf. That's funny! Not the brightest bulb in the box, is he?

Why are they still talking about this?
Why are WE still talking about this?

We've beaten them, several times in recent history.
They can't get over the fact that yet another NFL team used them as a doormat to the Superbowl -- a game they seem to never be able to get into.

Who cares?

Because of what Munnerlyn has said, the NFL has reviewed the situation and is going to fine Mark Ingram for breaking his hand...idiot.

The Vikings have gotten to the Super Bowl 4 times in 7 years; 70, 74, 75 & 77.

Two of those losses were at Tulane Stadium in New Orleans.

The Vikings have never scored in the 1st half of any their Super Bowl appearances. 14 points is the most points they have ever scored in a Super Bowl; the lowest score was 6 coming off a blocked punt recovered for a TD (PAT failed). 7 points was scored in their other 2 games.

It is time to move onto Dallas but I will say that there may be some Crews out there that would have thrown a penalty on Drew for his reaction. We see it all of the time where the person reacting is the one who gets the penalty. On to Dallas. We need a win...2-2 we have a season. 1-3 will be a disaster.

You just can't do hardly anything to QB's in this league and when the defenses finally realize that, these penalties will stop. Not that his wasn't clearly across the line. It's just the way it is.

Drew missed with his shove. Drew pushed air. How is that a penalty?

I'm surprised that Munnerlyn didn't get fined. I've seen players get fined for a whole lot less that the "suplex" he put on Brees.
And who names their kid "Captain"? Thats like naming your kid "King" , which btw is a dog's name.

Captain is a family name, was named after his Grandfather. The unnecessary slam on Drew is where I saw red. Then the fool makes it worse with that statement.

Vikings Super Bowls

I stand corrected. Vikings share a common ancestry with the Bills - another team who made it to Superbowls but failed to get the job done. I was thinking more about the 90's when the falcons beat the Vikings on a last minute kick to beat them in nfccc game.

I have been wanting to post on this.

I won't post what could have happened to Brees. Too horrible to say , even think about it.

That was a simple, calculated, mean, unsportsman like, late hit . On puropse with intent to ......

Accidents happen. Late hits happen. That was not this. This hit was done with clear intention by this POS Munnerlyn to paralyze Brees.
That was this POS 's goal. Period!

Brees very easily could have gotten a flag. There certainly been less flagrant incidents called.

did like this part:
"He said that wasn't a penalty. I said, 'Of course it was, you suplexed me,'" Brees said. "'But listen, I like you, I think you're a good football player. I appreciate the 15 yards, thank you.'"

Next time we play the Vikes I say we have Jimmy pop him one time. That'll shut his face.

I'm surprised they didn't blame us for their gopherdome collapsing. Sure that the Saints organization sent all that snow north...

And I'm sure we've ruined their season with more bounty hits - this time on Matt Cassel.

These guys are absolute punks - but they get the rare nod from me this week against the Falcons.
