Well, our Special Ed. finally made the highlight reel, that play was comical. I still laugh everytime I see it, I guess laughing is better than crying. When Special Team coached tell their players in the Pee-wee league things you should never ever do they can show that clip to them.

We will agree to disagree on who called the play. And the sarcasm at the end was not lost on me, either. I could well be wrong on who called it, and that's not a big deal to me. But in this kind of situation I think it's more than plausible that the head coach is calling that play. Greg Mcmahon is not a play caller. He's just a guy who's responsible for getting his unit lined up and making sure everyone knows their assignment. It's not rocket science to run special teams. If he's being allowed to call a play like that then that's even worse then the play, itself. And perhaps that WAS the case. I don't really care either way.

I've read some of the argument here over who made the call for the fake punt, Sean Payton took responsibility for the call in Monday's presser.

I'm not taking sides here nor am I trying to incite a riot. Coach Payton also stressed taking responsibility as a team without calling players and coaches out in an unprofessional manner.

Riot averted, Halo...we all got our opinions and we're not on the sidelines or in the locker room. Payton is a stand-up guy and does not call out players or coaches, and that is very respectable.

As long as that blueprint for that turd of a play is forever destroyed, I will be happy. Unfortunately, the replay of it will continue to make this team less and feared plus highlights a glaring weakness.

Has anyone mentioned that this was the "Dumbest Fake Punt in the History of Dumb Fake Punts" BECAUSE:

Dallas stopped our genius fake punt with only 10 players on the field for that play??

Oh...my...God. Did not realize that. Not only was the design disgusting, the execution impossible & doomed, the element-of-surprise nonexistent, we fail with epic flair using 11 versus 10. Actually, wouldn't it have been 11 versus 10 with their returner 40 yards down field? Wow. I'm gonna go clean my inner ear with sandpaper now.

I'm becoming more and more disappointed in the coaching we're seeing from this team. I mean Kirhy is getting 5 ypc and we run him twice and throw 20 times to start the game. Will someone please slap SP upside the head and bring him back down to earth??/ I'm tired of seeing this krap

For the next game against the Bucs ALL the Saints coaches and ALL the Saints players need to do is the following:

Grow a pair!!! Get on the field and do the bloody job that you are ALL being paid vast sums money to do.

DEFENCE: Tackle, Tackle and Tackle again. Hit the opposition so hard that they really DO end up with an imprint of RIDDELL thumped into their bodies and a blinding headache! Make them think twice about running near you on the field again, put some fear into them!!!!!!!

OFFENCE: Catch the ball! Stiff arm the opposing defender! Fight for EVERY yard! FIGHT for every catch!

COACHES! Please! Please! Please! No more dumbass plays like last week! Bring in some new plays and drop some of the old ones that every other nfl coach is now ready for, after watching hours and hours of Saints game tape.
Your paid to coach the team, so COACH THEM!!!!!

We better put a 40 or 50 pointer on the Bucs on Sunday! The Saints have vast amounts of talent, SO USE IT!!!!!!!!!!
