Where's the Testosterone ?

We should've signed Steve Smith. For all the talk about our dull offense and guys not having any fire or getting open , he'd probably have us sitting at 3 - 1. Remember a bunch of guys complaining about his attitude saying he's not a class act and such. Well we are and we're also a resounding 1 - 3.

I also recall guys here criticizing Ingram for his fire. Funny actually now he's gone we are flat as that girl talking about beckys butt.

We need the attitude , that swagger was about a third of mixture in that championship team.

Re: Where's the Testosterone ?

Part of the reason why I loved having Shockey on our team

That guy would take no prisoners at all, he gave our offense fire in 2009. When we needed a play, he would make it and then he'd let the defense know about it.

Hell, I would have even signed James Harrison for our defense to give them some attitude, the whole team looks completely intimidated and scared every week. No attitude on our team

Re: Where's the Testosterone ?

A lot of you guys were hating on Steve Smith, Dez Bryant, Michael Irvin and Richard Sherman and their "attitudes" the other day in the most hated players thread.

saintsfan1976 09-30-2014 04:14 PM

Re: Where's the Testosterone ?

I wouldn't touch Steve Smith, Dez Bryant or Richard Sherman with a taser.

Cancerous, "me, me, me" players who will eventually sour their teams.

If anyone here wishes we had Smith, they need their head checked.

Re: Where's the Testosterone ?

Sean Payton= Bellicheck

Drew Brees=Brady

Saints=New England

Teams, coaches, players on their way down. Time to right the ship.

Audiotom 09-30-2014 04:25 PM

Re: Where's the Testosterone ?

graham > gronk

now New England finally doesn't have that line that gave Brady all year to throw and look at him

no to Steve Smith, etc

but I think Harrison would be an interesting fit and slap our lb into shape
too bad we didn't even try to look at anyone

well we could be Atlanta with a ss out, 3 linemen down and a te playing tackle on offense

You seriously wouldn't have some of the best players in the NFL on your team, because of this mythical "me" attitude that you can see from the comfort of your couch?

No, that's not how it works. And were you the one calling Dez a "me" player the other day? I posted the transcripts. He's a 100% team guy, sorry. It shows up in his interviews, his play, and his actions. I wish every single player we had on our team had Dez's attitude.

Re: Where's the Testosterone ?

I'd have no problem with Steve Smith on the Saints.

You can bet he'd be less than thrilled and he'd be up in people's faces. I can't manage to see that as a bad thing right now.

Why Steve Smith? He doesn't play defense.

I wish we had signed an nasty ILB, OLB or another CB.

Vontae Davis would have been nice.

Easy. He's a punk. I don't like him and I don't want him on the team I root for. Same goes for any player that punched his own mother.

Wow, the ignorance.

Dez Bryant has never punched his mother. You are 100% wrong in that statement. I don't know where you're getting that from.

How can you guys not understand this? He's done with that. That was in the past. He made a mistake years ago, and it's behind him now.

Dez was born to a 14 year old mother who was arrested for dealing cocaine when he was 8. He then went on to live in 8 different homes throughout his high school years.

Did this kid have the best influences around him?

he jewelry debts, the "pants incident" at a mall, the problems with his family and his mother, (he hit her with a hat, he DID NOT punch her), that let to a brief charge of domestic violence. The Cowboys used Calvin Hill and other mentors to help Dez get his path straightened out.

Remember back to the epic sideline rant last season during the Cowboys-Lions game when everybody accused Dez of having a meltdown on the sidelines? The media started wagging their fingers at Dez, calling him out for bad behavior. The audio of some of that was released later and it showed that Dez was actually being positive. He was being a leader.

He is now the face and leader of this team. His emotional, fiery attitude and passion for the game has done nothing but good, especially for our team, which is amongst the youngest in the NFL.

So there.

And please, if you choose to respond, respond with something that has some sort of merit. No "he's a punk" replies, because I've put that to bed multiple times since joining this forum.

I never said Dez. You did. And you claim you don't know where I got it from. You got there yourself. Looks like you're the one that recognized him as a punk.

lmao, you're saying that because you're wrong. What a backhanded comment.

You were clearly implying that it was Dez, mate. That's where the whole "punched his mom" thing came from, because I don't believe that Smith has ever been involved in anything like that.

But do you have anything to say that doesn't make you look really, really wrong?

Mate? You from down under? Mate?

And by "down under" I don't mean from under that rock all the Cowboys fans have once again crawled out from under after going 3-1 again.

Absolutely, I was implying it. You said you didn't know where I got it, but somehow you knew who I was talking about.

See, you know he's a punk too.

Dez pulled his mother's hair, ripped her bra, hit her and caused injury. That's in the police report.

It wasn't me. But I am of the opinion Dez is a "me" guy.

Call me out for being an armchair QB if you like, but you're one yourself. Don't tell me you haven't read the clippings on guys like Steve Smith.... Head cases that EVENTUALLY turn on their team.

Let's say we are actually coaches, you and I. You obviously like certain players, I like others. Nothing wrong with that - you'll just have different kinds of distractions to manage in your house.

Speaking of "couch", how's Dez Bryant's playoff stats looking :p

Again, where did it say he punched her? It said he hit her with a baseball cap.

So, that happened several years ago, he's put it behind him, been through all the therapy and classes and things I mentioned earlier. Are you saying immature 22 year old boys with awful upbringings cannot change? Because I believe that's what you're saying, and it is really lmao-worthy.

Exactly how is Dez a distraction? I haven't heard anything distracting to do with him in several years, from when he was an immature, 22 year old boy that apparently cannot possibly change or get help according to some people.

I don't know about the rest of you guys but I'd welcome a guy with a 'dog' attitude and desire like Dez. At least he plays with passion and leaves it out on the field every single Sunday.

So far this season, we have shown quite the opposite.

I would take a player that has Dez like abilities but not Dez, he is a punk. If that was anybodt else they would be in a world of crap but Jerry protects his investments. He would be in the same boat that Ray Rice is in if it happenen now instead of then.

Don't care for any of them but we do need somebody to step up with some fire and motivate this team. I was never more pissed off then when Brees was thrown down in the Viqueens game and he had to go after the player himself. Any lineman with half a nut should have pancaked somebody after their QB gets treated like that. The whole team is playing like cats right now.

Really not sure what he has done aside from fumble. Hell Robinson wouldn't have gotten the shot if it wasn't for Cadet fumbling in the pre-season last year.

FFS the guy has had 18 total offensive touches in his career and fumbled 2 times, not including the pre-season fumbles... must be one of those Shanle things again. I wonder what he has pictures of lol.
