Re: New Orleans Saints keep reasons for John Jenkins' homestay vs. Cowboys quiet
I don't get it. Head-scratcher.
Could the team be holding him out until after the bye week, and saving snaps for him? If that's the case, is it worth 1-3? Or is it worse, like disciplinary reasons? Or is a trade in the works? If it's a trade, why in holy h--- do you trade a talented young NT? If it is a trade, it better be for a starting MLB'er. But this is still a head-scratcher... |

I'd guess he's just overweight and out of shape and Payton's pissed that he let himself get that way.
Just a guess. |

That'd be my guess as well, since he had a weight problem back in college. Still, he has a lot of talent and the physical tools to dominate his position, so I'm far from ready to give up on him - even more so since this'll probably be Bunkley's last season as a Saint or at least a starter. |

He has been injured all camp.

Re: New Orleans Saints keep reasons for John Jenkins' homestay vs. Cowboys quiet
Why would we trade the most effective Nose Tackle we've had for some time unless he's got some off-the-field issues?!?
When Bunkley was limited last year, they rotated and the defense took off... And a MLB isn't worth a $hit if he doesn't have a NT occupying blockers... If Payton said it's our deal, then I'm inclined to think he did or didn't do something that Payton was not happy about and a message was sent... |
