Brees going to break another record Sunday!
I just want a win!!
Drew Brees has 39,936 passing yards since joining the New Orleans Saints in 2006, the most of any NFL player during that span. Brees needs 64 passing yards against Tampa Bay to become the sixth quarterback in NFL history with 40,000 passing yards with one franchise. He will play in his 132nd game with New Orleans on Sunday and can surpass Dan Marino (Miami Dolphins, 153 games) as the fastest quarterback to reach 40,000 passing yards with a team! |
Re: Brees going to break another record Sunday!
Hope he gets it in the first quarter on a TD pass to Colston. Then does it 4 or 5 more times during the game while we drop a 40 burger on TB.

He should get 64 about mid way through the first quarter

Best to him. That will be an individual accomplishment.
Saints need some W's. They needs W's away from the SDome too. They need to work harder on all fronts as that expensive team. |

along with a W

Re: Brees going to break another record Sunday!
No disrespect intended, but passing accomplishments today are not as impressive as say during Marino's day...
The reduced threat of laying a receiver out for coming across the middle or hitting a quarterback as he throws or the no contact/minimal jam at the line of scrimmage has reduced pass defense to non-existent - unless you do it every down as Seattle does and the refs become apathatic to throwing flags... |
