even if we win this game, I can't say I am super-optimistic for the rest of the season. This team comes out at home for a division game, crowd amped, season on the line, and this is the best they could do. Might be time to think about blowing the roster up.

Brees has good football left in him. He just needs to realize he can't play the same game as he used to. Unfortunately, the game he needs to play is very tough to do with relentless pressure in his face.

Sure he will put some numbers up but he is going to be a pick machine. His arm is done. He can barely throw the ball 30yds without floating it.

I admit I can't speak as intelligently on this as I would like since I hardly get to see the Saints play.

That said, from what I do see, it seems like the INTs and floated passes come when he tries to force things from his back foot because he is getting no time to step up into his throws.

This is what I meant by he needs to play a different game. Before, he used to be able to depend only on his arm strength to force those in to tight spots. Now he has to decide to throw those away or check down, choosing his spots to be aggressive, instead of being aggressive the whole time.

Correct me if I'm wrong, of course.
