You all know Atlanta lost today and the Panthers got a gift against Chicago.
Nobody in the South has there act together. We are not in that bad of shape as long as we get all the gears going in the right direction. NFC South W L T PCT PF PA STRK Panthers 3 2 0 .600 104 120 W1 Falcons 2 3 0 .400 151 143 L2 Saints 2 3 0 .400 132 141 W1 Bucs 1 4 0 .200 103 156 L1 |

And, the Bills beat the Lions today. ( Sorry, Slo.) |
Re: NFC South
I think the doom and gloom comes from the Legion of Gloom play the team has put on the field...

Re: NFC South
division looks ugly i tell ya
wash of that make up and it is just plain ugly so it is winnable |
Re: NFC South
We'll win the South by 2 games.

Re: NFC South
Chicago gift-wrapped a win for Carolina today.... We should light them up.
Atlanta has no O line left, Ryan will feed on that Tampa should be good and cooked by Dec 28th Here's what's important - 1 of our next 7 games is a division game. 3 of our final 4 games are division games. Plenty of time to heal up, get our heads right and make a run. |

we played better in preseason than we are now. |

Re: NFC South
As bad as the NFCSouth is the league may ban us all from post season play.
Side note: It sucks to say it but I think the Panthers are probably coaching and playing the best ball all things considered right now. They are basically a bunch of misfits thrown together with a half dozen plays in their playbook but they keep fighting. Down 21-7 I didn't give them a chance yesterday. |

OK, so what your saying is we still have a shot.

Re: NFC South
Carolina should lose their next 5 games anyway.

Also even after all of the boneheaded plays the Saints made yesterday, they did keep fighting and eventually won the game. Honestly, they looked pretty dominating in the extra frame. Hopefully Payton will learn something from that. SFIAH |
Re: NFC South
At the very least we should suck less than the rest of the South.

Re: NFC South
I believe we'll win the South too, but, it won't be easy. The Falcons played well against the Giants. Julio is a freak of nature. We have our work cut out for us. It'll be gut check all season long.

Seeing them get curb stomped twice by Pitt/Balt was awesome and let some air out of their inflated egos. I believe they are about an 8-8 team in the end but admit that with a roster of less talent than ours overall they are playing and getting better coaching than we are. Newton (a diva plain and simple) is throwing some great passes and playing good football. Can he lead them thru the fire as you say? I don't think so either but to my original point of my first post they are playing better football and getting better coaching at least at this point in the season than we are. We are doing FAR less with a talented roster. |
Re: NFC South
Beating Carolina, IN Carolina. Just like last year, that's probably what it's going to come down to.
|
Re: NFC South
Carolina is doing it with smoke and mirrors, and they will be out of players by week 10.
Offensively they have Newton & Olsen at the skill positions, and no one else. Defensively their lack of depth will catch up to them. Atlanta & TB will win 10 games...combined. We are usually on the short end of the division-winner-with-a-worse-record-hosting-a-playoff scenario, but we should be fine this year |

I love our chances at winning the South. Look at Carolina and Atlanta's remaining schedules... CAROLINA @Cincinnati @Green Bay Seattle New Orleans @Philadelphia Atlanta @Minnesota @New Orleans Tampa Bay Cleveland @Atlanta ATLANTA Chicago @Baltimore Detroit @Tampa Bay @Carolina Cleveland Arizona @Green Bay Pittsburgh @New Orleans Carolina I see 8-8 at best for both those teams, and more likely 7-9 or 6-10 |

Player to player and coach to coach Carolina is doing better than us. Our players may have the IQ to build shuttle to the moon and therefore must tend to over think the game of football. |

Newton hasn't recovered completely (check running & sack stats), and they have little else. I'd much rather be our shoes than there's |

I've been hoping the Saints do a Giants this year and get it together late in the year, even our division is looking like the NFC East this year.

and two and a half more losses for the division today

Re: NFC South
The point is the division is waiting for us to catch up. Will they do it? Right now Carolina is 1.5 games ahead of us. Have you seen what's up on our schedule?
@Detroit Green Bay @Carolina San Fran Cinci Baltimore nothing easy about these teams. Especially the home games. We need to bring the Thunder! |
Re: NFC South
No excuses. The toughest games are at home, and @ Detroit and @ Carolina aren't cake walks.
But its there for us to take...if we want it... |
