WE'LL GO 11-5!

Re: Rest of the Season... Predictions
9-7 at best. The good news is that can win the division. The defense is just not good and I don't look for a miracle turnaround. Watching a defense like the Seahawks, where EVERYBODY hits, EVERYBODY tackles, and the coverage guys, including LB's, are ALWAYS either making a play on the ball or draped on the reciever just makes me sick. The Saints are the freakin opposite of that. Throw in the injuries on offense and this team could slip to 7-9.

Re: Rest of the Season... Predictions
5 of 8 games on the road is a pretty crappy way to schedule any team.
|
Re: Rest of the Season... Predictions
yep but if you want to be taken seriously you gotta play at the very least .500 ball on the road
|
Re: Rest of the Season... Predictions
- We lose some home games and win some away games
- We will win the South this year Two pretty generic answers that fit the bill, IMO ... even if the Saints don't win the Division, I see them somehow finishing at least 10-6 and backing into the playoffs, if need be (see post #15). Quote:

Re: Rest of the Season... Predictions
I took a look at everyone's remaining schedule in the NFC and gave it my best WAG. The way I see it you have:
Division champs: Seahawks 12-4 West Packers 11-4 (plus result of Saints game) - North Eagles 11-5 - East on div record tiebreaker Wildcards (2): Cowboys 11-5 Cardinals 11-5 49ers 10-5 (plus result of Saints game) We beat Niners, they sit at home. They win they are #5 Also rans: Carolina 8-5-1 (plus 2 games vs Saints) Lions 9-6 (plus result vs Saints) Bears 9-6 (plus result vs Saints) Giants 8-8 Wait until next year: Falcons 5-10 (plus result vs Saints) Redskins 5-11 Vikings 2-14 Rams 2-14 Bucs 2-13 (plus result vs Saints) All of that to say I see us HAVING to win the South to sniff the playoffs AND that will require a 10 win season with 1 of those wins against the Panthers OR a 9 win season with a sweep of the Panthers. |

Re: Rest of the Season... Predictions
I voted:
9-7-7-9 at best We only win home games A RB will get 100 yards in a game this year. The ways the Saints are going is that generally they will not win away but will prevail at home. The defense were bizarrely poor to start the season but are starting to show signs of 2013. All good, however the injuries are piling up and perhaps that is a reason for inconsistent offense as well as defense. Sure we put up offensive yards but our stalwarts of Colston and Graham are a pale shadow of themselves, the O has extended periods of 3 and out or even worse give the ball away to place the defense under extreme pressure. That is not top tier professional football. I think that a RB will get 100 yards. Likely it will occur possibly without design, aided by a long burst by one of Thomas, Ingram, or Robinson. As for "I would attend playoff game". Of course I would. We will have to win the division to get to playoffs and it is possible. The NFC South stinks this season. No team will win it this year. The team not giving away the least will. Regardless I ain't going to get to playoff game anytime soon unless someone gives me their winning lottery ticket. |

I predict I give up trying to defend our HOF QB with the lot who wants to pin our record so far this season on pretty much solely his play. :annoy:

Well... If you are still concerned.... the good thing is 7-9 will win the division.

Re: Rest of the Season... Predictions
Hey look i was wrong about Detroit, i was right about it being ugly though (last 5 mins). And Green Bay was definitely payed back for some of the losses the last few years.

Re: Rest of the Season... Predictions
9-7 for me,
We lose to Pittsburgh, one of the Bengals or Ravens and perhaps Chicago. |
Re: Rest of the Season... Predictions
... still working on the logistics, but somehow, some way ... there's gonna' be a Lions/Saints postseason, part deaux ... who knows? ... can't happen if Lions win the North because Saints won't have the record to be a wildcard (?), but maybe if the Saints take the South, the Lions qualify as a wildcard and/or win the North ... IDK, Lions & playoffs aren't two words that go together all that frequently ... and I'll try to stay out of the live gameday thread, should that day ever come, so as not to annoy the more serious WhoDats, ;).

Re: Rest of the Season... Predictions
Right now it's looking like the Cardinals, Lions, Cowboys and Saints with the Eagles and Packers in the post-season...
Don't see the Cowboys sustaining this level and should they collapse, Seahawks or 49ers will get the other wildcard and the Eagles will take that division... It's all about the next game and winning at Carolina on four days rest would be huge all around and should tell the tale of the season... |
Re: Rest of the Season... Predictions
Even if everybody in the division blows, we can't keep limping along through the season staying a game or a half game behind Carolina. If we do that, then time will run out on us. Need to take command of it right now.

Now if you could claim the #2 seed, then we could see you in the 2nd round. I can't see the Saints claiming a 3 seed or above unless we go on a ridiculous win streak. |

Big win this past week but we will blow it in Carolina like we always do and leave all the fans scratching their heads for the entire season wondering WTF team will show up every Sunday.
