Graham & Ingram Possibly Back After Bye
1 Attachment(s)
Saints coach Sean Payton declined to offer any updates Monday on the status of injured tight end Jimmy Graham and running back Mark Ingram, but there is reason for optimism that both players could return to the lineup after New Orleans' Week 6 bye.
A league source said the thinking remains that Ingram could be ready to return from the broken hand he suffered in Week 2 after the bye, which matches original estimates. And NFL Network reported on Sunday night, citing a source informed of Graham's condition, that the Saints believe Graham suffered a sprained shoulder during Sunday's 37-31 overtime victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and don't feel it's a major injury. Re: Graham & Ingram Possibly Back After Bye
Sounds like a fumble waiting to happen. Play PT23.

Re: Graham & Ingram Possibly Back After Bye
Don't like any of our players being injured but if Graham is out a couple weeks it will force Payton/Brees to target other players.

Re: Graham & Ingram Possibly Back After Bye
Get well, come back after the 100%

I think our offense played better and was less predictable with Graham out

Re: Graham & Ingram Possibly Back After Bye
Show me more Ben Watson. His arms flex and extend farther than 90 degrees. Same with Josh Hill.

Re: Graham & Ingram Possibly Back After Bye
Feed Robinson & PT. Let Ingram get to a full 100%. We are gashing opposing defenses with the run with just those 2, and I'm honestly good with letting Cadet be on special teams completely. I'd much rather have PT or PT or PT out there on 3rd down than Cadet.
And to pile on: Brees needs to find "game-manager" mode. Sorry, it is what it is. 40+ passes a game will not do with the offensive line and these RBs. Breesus & Payton nearly lost that game yesterday with those 2 idiotic INTs. Our defense essentially only gave up 17 points, but 31 got hung on them due to our "high-powered & efficient" offense. Aside from 2-minute drills & 4th quarter comeback mode, Breesus needs to find his game-manager animal. Our running game has shown it can carry this team without Breesus throwing Pick 6's and INTs in the end zone or on our side of the field. Love Brees & Payton to death, but you gotta play to your strengths. |

I think the only way they activate him is if they're 100% convinced that he's 100% healthy. |
Re: Graham & Ingram Possibly Back After Bye
I don't know about that. They let stills play in preseason and he aggravated his injury. Now he is scared to take a hit. I hope they will be smarter with Ingram.

Re: Graham & Ingram Possibly Back After Bye
does little for our OL issues. Does little for our pass rush issues either
but good to have them back if they are ready to go |
Re: Graham & Ingram Possibly Back After Bye
Ingram will probably have a glove with some extra padding an should be fine.
|
Re: Graham & Ingram Possibly Back After Bye
No way Ingram is ready to come back. We will be fine the next couple of games without rushing him back.

Don't bring him back until he's 100% |
Re: Graham & Ingram Possibly Back After Bye
Why is the world would we bring Ingram back early? We looked good with the trio yesterday, and let's be honest here. Ingram has improved, but it's not like we are missing a Lynch or Peterson.
Plus, it will be nice to have a fresh RB for the second half of the season |

Why do people assume we'd bring him back if he's not 100% healed? |
Re: Graham & Ingram Possibly Back After Bye
Have to admit as good as Jimmy is we look more agile out there without him. The offense isn't pigeon holed. We still need Jimmy but less is more.

Re: Graham & Ingram Possibly Back After Bye
If our offense is less creative and predictable with Graham out there, then that is on Brees and SP. Just because Graham is on the field doesn't mean we have to go to him every time, and it's crazy to think we are better without him.

Re: Graham & Ingram Possibly Back After Bye
Its so simple!
Ingram and Graham return when they are FULLY fit, that's 100% fit, not 98%, not 99% but the whole 100%. PT23 and Robinson are doing great for us at the moment and long may that continue! GEAUX SAINTS! :-) |
Re: Graham & Ingram Possibly Back After Bye
This is just a reverse DeMarcus Ware from 2009 ...remember that one? All week long it was "Oh man, there's no way DeMarcus Ware will play against the Saints, after that terrible neck injury" and then...BOOM. He caught the Saints napping, not expecting him in the lineup, and he plays totally lights out. This is just the opposite tactic of that.
This is all about making Detroit think that Graham and Ingram might play. So they have to at least waste a certain amount of time game planning for them, or thinking about it. It's just Jedi mind games at this point. Ingram will be back whenever the original timeline said he would be back, so if he was supposed to be back, then maybe he will probably play. Graham? I dunno. Nobody really knows with that injury. |
