Pierre Thomas and Thomas Morstead among the New Orleans Saints who prove their bowling skills

It was a bowl like no other, or any that the eight New Orleans Saints players may have ever participated in before. It was the Black & Gold Bowl at Fulton Alley Sunday (Oct. 12) where eleven teams — joined by the players — vied for bowling supremacy.

Hosted by Pierre Thomas and Thomas Morstead, the event was a benefit for their organizations, ICAN Foundation and What You Give Will Grow.

In addition to Thomas and Morstead, Khiry Robinson, Justin Drescher, Zach Streif, Senio Kelemete, Brandon Coleman, and former Saint Deuce McAlister laced up bowling shoes and donned Saints jerseys to participate with the various teams, such as the main sponsor, Chevron, and create their version of "Bowling with the Football Stars." Morstead's keen ability with a bowling ball ensured he made strikes most of the time. (Perhaps he was showing off for his wife, Lauren, and baby son, Max, who were in the wings.)

Maybe because it was a Sunday night, and players spending their "free" time doing charity work is better than sitting at home playing video games or whatever
