There's not much out there. He can rush the passer as a down lineman (it's what he did in the Rams game). I think Sam could fill in for Foster. I haven't seen any form of media distraction regarding Sam since the day he joined the Cowboys.

Pass rusher are pure gold in the NFL and this guy got cut from a practice squad?

I'm 100% positive that Will Frigging Smith is probably a better pass rusher than this media creation.

Foster: 6'4" 285
Sam: 6'2" 260-ish

Sam gives up 20-30 pounds and 2 inches. Funny thing, too...Foster ran a faster 40 than Sam. Sam ain't big enough to play DE in the 3-4 and too slow to play OLB in the 3-4.

There's a reason he got cut by STL & DAL before November even showed up.

Yeah, Foster is a 3-4 DE or a 4-3 DT who is not even close to being a competent outside pass rusher at the NFL level

Sam is an 3-4 OLB or a 4-3 DE, also not even close to being a competent outside pass rusher at the NFL level :p

Maybe if we put him on our practice squad our defense will step it up like Dallas, curious how Dallas defense gonna respond now that threat of him being in the line up has now dissipate

I think(not sure of this) he ran a poor combine 40. He's slow. We need more speed on defense. I do admit he looked like he belonged when he played against us.

Don't care about combine numbers. I just care if a guy is around the football and can make plays. That he can do. Worth a try out at least. Doesn't really cost much to kick the tires. Also, let's not act like our D-line is full of elite defensive talent. If it is, it sure hasn't been on display most of the year.

Pass - I don't need to see more video of him crying on CNN and all the media outlets because another team gave him a chance. I don't see him making a difference.
