Yes, it was, you Brees haters. 27 of 32, 311 yards, three touchdowns, no interceptions. In the 2nd half, Brees was 11 for 11.
Oh, and regarding the deep ball: - to Josh Hill for 41, - to Cooks 47 yds for a TD - to JG for 22 for a TD So, anyway, yeah, Drew Brees arm strength GONE, call him a game manager -- career over -- get the man a wheel chair. Yea, I got chu. |

His are arm is weak. Air was pumped in the Dome at his back this game.

This was the best the deep throws has looked all season. Big part of it was the effectiveness of the running game which sets up the play action and a decent pocket for Brees to step up in.

Biggest stat of the game - "0" interceptions...
Return of the deep ball kept backup defensive backs from sitting on the front 2/3rds of the field... Tempered expectations, see what happens at Carolina who has an amazing front four with the Rookie Kony Ealy stepping up big in place of Hardy... Though we should have success again with the deep ball against Harper if we can keep the pass rush at bay for Brees long enough... Big test of Ingram against Panthers' Kuechly, Davis, Klein and Harper... |

I ain't crowning em yet. This was only one game and at home at that. You want to impress me, do it in Carolina and I'll give em a little more respect. They haven't earned anything yet. Happy for Ingram, finally a very good solid game.

We actually ran brandin cooks on a deep route for a TD!
SP must be reading these boards! Great game Drew, I was negative about the team before the game, I'll gladly eat crow if this can develop into a win streak. |
