A bit off subject but I always stood up for Roman Harper whilst he was here

That being said, we could exploit a mismatch running Jimmy against him, I hope we run more deep routes with cooks aswell.

I'm willing to bet that Payton thought that same thing on the day the powder puff blue team signed Harper.

I stick up for Harper too. He was excellent in the run game and rushing the passer, he just sucked in coverage. We might as well take advantage of that too. And when he's covering Graham, he's not at the line in run support, where he's at his best.

If the panthers Head coach leaves Harper one on one on Jimmy in his dream one time he should be fired on the spot.

Goodwin injury is a blessing in disguise. Lelito is the better player period. He makes the line better.

We need to go into Carolina with the same power run game between the tackles. You can't get to the edge on those guys, their linebackers are just too fast. We just need to go right at them, soften them up a little bit and then attack those terrible safeties.

This is exactly what I was coming into this thread to say. I love Goodwin and everything he's done for the Saints, but Lelito is playing awesome.

Even Collingsworth alluded to the fact that Lelito was a stronger blocker than Goodwin in the run game...

And Armstead is an absolute monster in blocking down field on screens.

Armstead is scary fast to the edge for a big guy...i'd hate to see that train coming my way.

I think we need to stick with Lelito at C. I like Goodwin and think he has had a good effect on the running game but the constant chopping and changing isnt helping

But he graded ahead of Humber and Lofton and was only behind Haralson as our top LB.

Dang, it sucks that Austin Johnson won't play. I thought Lorig played well against the Packers though, so let's see what he can do.

Lorig's block on the Cooks TD was a thing of beauty.

THAT play is a perfect example of why we signed him.

I think we haven't even seen a fraction of what that guy can do for us.

I hope they don't give lorig another carry though, 2 carries in the packers game and fumbled already

Indeed. Truth be told, no one looked especially good as a starter early on. I'm encouraged by what I've seen the last couple of games though. Perhaps now that the defensive play book has been slimmed down we'll continue to see improvement from everyone.
