You have hit the right chord there. This guy is NOT a TEAM player. It\'s about AB and nothing else. Now, that said, he is not totally at fault for saying and doing all of this stuff. Remember, Hazlett, Big Mule, & McCarthy stuck by him and made him DA MAN!! over both Blake and Delhomme, and then shipped in Todd(Mr. Inconsistent) Bouman as a \"backup?\" The trouble is is that Brooks honestly believes all of this tripe he\'s serving, because he\'s never had to honestly compete with anyone else for his job. Hazlett was too afraid of a QB controversy and played him hurt. That\'s not AB; that\'s Hazlett and probably McCarthy.

Playoffs or not, this guy needs to be shown the door. Also, before all of you other \"AB DA MAN\" crowd shows up and says: Who will we replace AB with? My answer is: \"I don\'t know, but it has to be better than this!\" San Diego will keep Brees, but there are other interim QB\'s that are coachable and don\'t cause the same mistakes, fumbles, broken plays, fall downs, missed handoffs, poor throws, low throws, throws with lack of touch, inaccurate throws behind or too low for a receiver. That\'s not the O-line. That\'s poor fundamentals by a QB. Period!! We have had 4 miserable, inconsistent, sloppy, lazy years from this slug. I\'m for some new blood. Win or lose, just consistent. :exclam:

saintswhodidi i dont want this to be between you and me and this certainly isnt about people on here posting negative comments about brooks. my point was that you stick out in my mind because every time i read one of your post it seems to be about how bad brooks is. im very certain that you post on here without saying anything about brooks. to me though you stuck out at that moment. simple point is you dont like brooks and thats ok. but the major problem on this team wasnt and isnt brooks. he has made some terrible plays this year. he hasnt done what i expected this year. but to always come out about how bad brooks is gets tiring. especially when there are a lot more problems with this team then just one player. we can all agree that deuce is a very good running back. well he still had some very bad games early for us. he was fumbling a lot. so he was at one point this season part of our problems. i dont mind if you want brooks gone and if you want to post how you dont like him. but all the time just gets very tiring

the judge thats a nice thought but from what i saw of bouwman in preseason i dont think we have a choice there. if there iws anyone better lets play him. but i dont think we have that choice right now

The team are inconsistent, look at the lost/wins. Do you expect any qb to think low of themselves? I think I am great person but I am sure they\'re others who think otherwise. RUMORS......someone need to stop spreading them if they can\'t find FACTS, nowhere in the article did I find Brooks saying or implying he want more money. He just feel with the lack of fans and some of the local media support that his job is on the line IMOP, not fact.

NOt to mislead anyone... i am not sayin to give ab a new contract..i feel players should honor their contract... i am sayin root for the guy. For instance i am a season ticket holder and they have guys with all saints stuff on rooting against ab, i.e. AB throws ball dropped.....u suck Aaron. Give me a break

He wants us to pay him for what he as done?? Ok, lets say we sign him to 4 years..... that would mean his first year he wouldn\'t get paid \"JACK\" since he hasn\'t scored in the first quarter since week 2. Same for the second year! Then the last 2 years he would make huge money for all the yards he puts up, but then we could just release him by then because we already started grooming his replacement.

I don\'t believe in paying players for what they have \"DONE\", we need to pay for what they will do (incentives!!!!\")

On that note, I say we give McKensie what he deserves!

Pay him about mid-pack base, but major bonus\'s for performance.

Win a SB? Mega-jack!
Play like crap? Don\'t get squat!

If his ego is truly as huge as it seems, he should have no problem with that at all.
