Can we just leave Harper alone please? From virtually all accounts he is a good man. His head is screwed on straight. Even with all the armchair qbs ranting the man stayed classy.

Enough already. Why not pick on some jerk...maybe somebody who can't get over being "disrespected"?

If it was malcolm jenkins that had a bad game against us, I'd have no problem laughing at him

But Harper was and still is a stand up guy and a huge part of our history, he's never wronged or said anything bad about us

I think the reason it seems I defend Harper more than most ex-Saints is because he was way too often blamed for losses when any fan with an IQ over 12 could see the loss wasn't even close to his fault.

He became the scapegoat for the dumb masses. It wasn't uncommon to hear him blamed for plays when he wasn't even on the goddam field.

It just goes to show that we have just as many dumbass fans as every other team does, and its why I just roll my eyes when someone says our fans are better than other teams fans. We're just get louder and drunker than most.

Definitely, every player has bad games from time to time but the minute harper allowed a first down he's had fans screaming for him to be cut.

He's made so many more great plays for us than bad ones and a guy in his situation could have said "you know what, screw the saints" and gone out to the media and blurted out trash.

But Roman Harper is not that guy, which is why he deserves respect.

You Harper defenders have to be kidding me. That guy lost us SO MANY games. He cant cover biscuits with gravy. Look at any Carolina game and watch the way he gets abused. The Jimmy Graham catch to put the game away, who was supposed to help that corner for the deep release you guessed it HARPER, he was EPIC in GW's system and thats because Gregg made him a hybrid linebacker. His productivity after that was trash. We've had great safeties (Sharper, Knight) and Harper is not considered one of them.

Wow...the "one-guy-can-lose-a-game-all-by-himself" logic.

22 players, a head coach, a defensive coordinator, a spec teams coordinator, an offensive coordinator, a kicker...but one player all by himself can lose us "so many games'. I'll give you that he may have blown a coverage or missed a tackle that led to losing a game, but a team wins & a team loses collectively.

But if you say so, man.
