I don't wanna talk about this loss just yet....

4 and 10 Kaepernick scrambling and you let up on your man for a 51 yard 1st down.... that was the game in a nutshell... You stick with your man follow him all the way down the field and we win this game.... You can't blame something on Drew that he shouldn't have had to go through!!!! Do you who let they man get a first.... second time he did the same thing.... The name just frustrates me......

Instead of harping on the loss I wanna talk about where we won....

KEENAN " F'N " LEWIS.... He has been the rock at corner for 1 season and a half... If you had one more of him on the outside you would have yourself a formidable secondary... Gutsy, Gutsy Gutsy performance....

MARK Ingram..... It look like he wore in the overtime but all day long he gashed and gashed.....

B. Cooks.... My wife said when Cooks caught his latest touchdown that its goodbye Colston.... I don't tend to agree just yet, but the kid should get a look for offensive rookie of the year......

Re: I don't wanna talk about this loss just yet....

But yet, some are ignorantly putting all the blame on Drew...

Keenan Lewis could barely walk between plays, but played like a Champ between the whistles...

Humber had a really good game as well, I expect to see him starting next year...

Ronald Powell and Sunseri(until he was injured) were beasts on special teams...

Brian Dixon had a good game when Lewis was out on certain downs...

Well Brees did deserve some of the blame, he threw into triple coverage when he had tons of time before half time, totally different game if we score then.

Lewis and Lewis on the outsides, with White in the nickle... Think of the possibilities :bng:

Keenan was having trouble walking? Whats wrong with him? I didn't see the full game so missed seeing him hurt.

He was in coverage and fell knee first into the turf... Trainers were looking at his knee, but ruled a quad injury...

Played like a champ mainly on third down for the rest of the game, didn't give up a catch after the injury I believe... Would hobble around barely moving until the ball was snapped and play good coverage until the whistle...

Dixon played well in his absence too

So where does this loss put us? Guess it depends on Carolina winning or losing.

3 turnovers to any playoff caliber team is too many to over come.
This many blown assignments on defense only makes it harder.

hats off to the saints they hung in tough till the end. Reminder this was a niners defense not at full strength and they showed us or depth on defense needs to be improved. granted some back ups stepped and played well. hats of to them too.

No doubt Hagan. I noticed a lot of solid tackling from 2nd stringer 49ers.

At this level, 3 turnovers = L.

I HATE zone defense. Who is the QB going to throw the ball to? The man that just ran by you or to the turf you're guarding? Horrible.

Colston need to step up! Too many drops and fumbling ,,, and will the real Kenny Vaccaro stand up or at least will the one that started last year show up

Just saw a pic of Lewis knee. Going out on a limb I would call him doubtful for next week. http://i382.photobucket.com/albums/o...oads/image.jpg

Can anybody tell me why 49ers o linemen were allowed to move during the snap and not get flagged for it on that 4th and 10?

Losing Lewis would be devastating.

Yeah that was ridiculous. They clearly moved plenty of times

1 man has 3 turnovers all to himself and we point the finger at the defense...okay.

Re: I don't wanna talk about this loss just yet....

Team loss, all aspects of the game. I see the blame going to Brees and the defense but if Toon downs the ball on the punt then it's 9ers ball at their 1. Brees throw a pick in triple coverage, they as a team overcame it and took the lead and blew it. Then same "turnover machine" threw a TD
strike into quadruple coverage, to be called back. Fact is as a team they lost, still have lots of football left. Go Saints!!!

Re: I don't wanna talk about this loss just yet....

I used to get excited watching brees and our offense come on the field

Now when I see Brees run onto the field I'm nervous as hell because theres around a 70% chance he will make a dumbass decision and turn the ball over.

Pretty sure he's close to leading the league in turnovers aswell

He has 10 picks in 10 weeks, how many fumbles does he have?

The defense blew the game at the end but once again the offense put them in situations that they were never going to win.

With that being said, I pretty much hate Corey white and Kenny vaccaro so far

Keenan lewis was playing on one leg and still played better than them.

Such a shame that Kenny looked so good last season and white looked to be improving, they are both the biggest liabilities in our secondary now.

Im in pretty good shape now.
I feel like I could be put in the dime package, and
cover a 51 yard rainbow, and could not only stay with my man,
but probably intercept the pass.

i just want to break something.

Re: I don't wanna talk about this loss just yet....

Just watched the play again

D line essentially gives up when kaep scrambles, tyrunn walker runs straight past Kaepernick and galette and Jordan are just standing around

Corey white backs off and leaves crabtree for Vaccaro who with Bush, are in deep zone coverage

When Kaepernick scrambles no one covers a wide open Vernon Davis (who Corey white should have covered because he's in the closest zone)

Vaccaro notices Davis is wide open and comes flying down to cover him leaving crabtree completely uncovered down field because Corey started in the shallow zone

Corey white should have covered Vernon Davis, because he didn't vaccaro felt the need to and completely forgot about the man Corey had left for him.

I would guess KV is in the film room right now, re playing that scenario until he is blue in the face. Study, preparation, execute.

When you are prepared, the task becomes easier.

Yea, as much as it is pretty clear Drew Brees has lost a step, and I'll give him credit that a some of the interceptions (10) were from tips, but I remember I think it was second down, the ball hit Stills in the hands. It bounced right off. Another later in the game, I remember Colston, when the ball passed directly through his hands--a better pass could not have been thrown.

All of these misses if incredibly accurate passes early, would have kept the game from even being close.

And Kudos to Humber--Not sure if he was a replacement, but I think he was taking Lofton's role for a day. He seemed to be everywhere yesterday. Lewis, of course, fantastic!!

Better than a 4-5 team, probably as Lewis said, a very scary team for anyone to play, even Denver. If we can only get this team playing on all eight cylinders for a whole game. Maybe Drew and his receivers should just "play catch" for 30 minutes like we did when we were kids, to try to solve this problem with balls bouncing off of hands.

Re: I don't wanna talk about this loss just yet....

Oh yea, I forgot--why did we wait until the second series of downs to run Ingram--why didn't we keep on running him during that last series when Brees was stripped--and while I appreciate that Brees has confidence in his protection, maybe he should be a little more aware of where those guys are that are behind him.

Our secondary coach has alot to do with the secondary looking so bad this year, I never liked his hiring at all.

Dennis Allen is still looking for work, you'd think SP would recognise and make the call.

Greer and porter in 2009 only allowed 1 TD on them all regular season, that was a push off by Roddy white on Monday night football.

If Allen would come I would like that.
