Could someone give me a quick break down of the game?
 

I couldn't watch I am out of the country and all I got was the last 2 min of regular from you guys on chat.
Who screwed up
Who looked bad and why
Who looked good

Basically wtf happened.

If you can give me a breakdown of the game that would be great.

The offense struggled to begin with, Brees under threw a pass on the third play and was picked, niners got up 14-0 quickly

We battled back, but Brees threw into triple coverage before the half which cost us a score, went into half time trailing 21-10

Receivers dropped passes all game, colston dropped a picture perfect 40 yard pass that would have gone for a TD, straight through his hands completely wide open

Once again battled back and had 14 unanswered points until we had the 9ers backed up on 4th and 10 on their own 20, Corey white and Kenny vaccaro forget to cover crabtree and he sat at our 20 yard line for an easy 50 yard catch on 4th and 10!!!!!

Brees threw a hail Mary and Graham pushed his guy to the floor before making the catch in the end zone, Winning TD nullified due to offensive PI.

FG = OT

Traded possessions and then Brees got sacked and fumbled at our own 20 yard line, ball game

They went to him a couple of time and he broke up the pass. But you're right surprise they didn't throw at him more. I hope it didn't do more damage to his knee.

We can't win at home, we aren't winning in Pittsburgh or Cincy in December at the very least

May even lose a couple more home games.

I understand your frustration (truly I do) but we are hardly out of it brother. That was the first Saints loss in the dome in damn near 2+ years. Pittsburgh lost to a one win team today and Cincy aren't exactly world beaters (embarrassed at home last Thursday night).

Until all 16 games are done and we are mathematically ruled out of the playoff race, then I will agree but until that time comes ...

7-9 makes the playoffs this year for the NFCS. Just need to win the division. We have played some awful football so far this season. Think about it; if not for all the turnovers at critical times we could easily be 8-1 right now. This is a talented team that shoots themselves in the foot. If Drew turns his season around at the right time we can make a superbowl run, it's all about winning the division.

The season is not over -- what is your problem?

I had to stop using game day chat today .... the game wasn't depressing .... it was thrilling ( except the end ) .... but some of the fans were extremely depressing. Good thing some of you aren't part of the team -- you'd just deliver the Saints resignation notice to the NFL.

And, personally, I do not understand it. If the season is actually over, OK then. And, if we keep playing like we did today it will be. But it is not currently over -- yet. And, FY for being such a childish-pissant.

Oh, and BTW, lovin' me some Mark Ingram, Keenan Lewis, Jimmy Graham ( who got robbed on that PI ), Ramon Humber and Sybil-Dude.

1st half We stank
2nd(mins 30-58) half much better
Mins 58-60 Blown coverage on a 4-10 with a 3 point lead
OT- Offense stank
Defence made a great stand
Brees fumble
Game over

Finding it hard to believe in this team though Major

Whenever its a close game it's also the same damn thing, offense turns it over and then plays well all game, defense gets better and then blows a coverage in the dying moments

Then we still have a chance to win and offense throws it away again

Browns, lions and 9ers losses have all been exactly the same and I'm just surprised and frustrated that our team are completely clueless on how to stop it happening.

We had our chances to turn the game around and shift momentum: Colston drop (easy TD before halftime), Brees into triple coverage (also TD before halftime)

When we finally fought our way into the game our secondary did their usual 2014 job.

We are 8-8 football team and we play like one. Constantly losing close games is not a coincidence. Getting into the playoffs would be nice achievement considering our strengths and weaknesses.
