Sanford was pretty good for the Vikes from time to time - he suffered some injuries at a time when the stars seemed otherwise aligned for him to take the next step forward.

He is - or at least was - a good open field tackler, but doesn't have the quickness to be a good cover guy.

He was a good ST player for the Vikes.

We need to evaluate a lot of these young players already on the team. But we also need quality players to develop.
