Ex-Saint Charles Grant loses coaching gig for attacking student
Former Saints defensive lineman Charles Grant has been terminated from a volunteer college coaching job after he was caught on tape body slamming a student.
The Associated Press reports that Grant was dismissed from his position as a volunteer football coach at Bowie State University after authorities saw a video of him throwing a student to the floor. The video can be seen here. The school has confirmed that university police are investigating the incident. Grant was the Saints’ first-round draft pick in 2002 and played in New Orleans through 2009. He briefly spent time with the Dolphins and Bears in 2010.
