The sad thing is now, Nick Toon will probably get playing time and he and Drew will be completely out of time because Toon hasn't played all year

Jimmy Graham is playing a lot tougher this year, he is making the tough catches and trying to hit someone to finish the play, he's the only guy that showed any fire yesterday

And we're still better than the Falcons, Panthers and Bucs.

Minor speed bump.

Based on what? On feelings? On "Power rankings?" On preseason hype? We are tied in record and the Falcons currently own the head to head tiebreaker. That's the reality.

More Kenny Stills and Morgan. We will be fine.

This is perfect opportunity for Morgan to save his career.

I've seen several of their games. They are worse than we are.
They barely beat us in their own stadium.
We'll beat them in the dome, then we're a game up.
They have a tougher remaining schedule than we do.

Our WR's don't play aggressively enough to suit me. Even though we traded up for Cooks we still aren't getting the production we desperately need. Cooks needs to heal fast and watch film until he's dizzy.

Next year we are going to need to bring in another WR early on in the draft........again. Dammit! We have too many pressing needs to keep pouring draft picks into the WR position.:dunce:

Defense was suspect the year we won the Super Bowl. We just caused turmovers. We've never been smash mouth under Payton, and we never will be. The smart thing to do is strengthen the offensive line and get better at wide receiver. Jump out on teams early and make them one dimensional. Hopefully we can sign a couple ppeople who can pressure the quarterback, then I'm sure we'll get the results we want. You can't have a dominate offense and defense with the salary cap. Something is going to lack. I prefer we use the formula that won it all for us.

What's with all these so called Saints fans making negatve comments? Injuries are part of the game! Every guy on this team is good enough to step in and play like a starter. We are not the only team with player injuries, nor are we in any way DONE! Some of you people need to step back and take a page from 'Arron Rogers' and just RELAXXXXXXXXXX!

I disagree my friend. Every guy on this team is NOT good enough to just step in and be a starter. Most of our starters haven't even looked that good. I understand where you're coming from about the negativity. Some folks (myself probably included) have overreacted a little..but don't try to blow sunshine up my rear and tell me it'll all be OK.. not this year anyway. I drank this season's kool-aid all the way up until this past Sunday. I'm done... not done watching them or pulling for them or loving them, but done believing that they're going to right the ship this year. The mounting injury list is only exacerbating an already grim situation. This team lacks drive, focus, identity and heart. The rest of the year will be a rollercoaster ride. A few brief shining moments at the top, but mostly a lot of screaming and nausea as it heads back downhill. Maybe they'll prove me wrong yet. I hope to Almighty God they do, but I don't expect it. I'm not gonna put myself through that. I have literally gotten more upset over these past 2 games than I have in years because I still had expectations.. Not anymore.

We are not done yet ( which is completely laughable ) but, we can easily see the edge of the cliff from here.

This team lost faith in itself in this game. My personal opinion is that it would be a miracle to recover from that.

But, I'm a Saints fan ..... anything can happen. :bng:

Falcons also lost Antone Smith for the season.

The only guy who can catch and get open for us is out... lmao yeah we're done , I mean even if we do win the south , why would we want to ? We won't beat anyone and it would take us smooth out of contention to pick up desperately needed players.

Re: Report: Saints' Brandin Cooks out multiple weeks with broken thumb

If we play like we did against Green Bay, we can and will beat anyone. I'm disappointed that so many have lost faith. Every team in contention has looked awful at some point this year.

Because I for one would be more proud of a team that didn't give up for a better draft pick. That would make them quitters and as a fan I'd be ashamed...

I agree.

There have been a lot of bad years. This looks to be another one. There's no reason to be embarrassed. Half the teams each year don't have winning records. Payton and Loomis have been one of the most successful Coach/GM combos in the league for years now. They'll do what they need to do to right the ship, we hope.

It's only embarrassing when you quit.

well Sunday against the Bengals was pretty embarrassing

I saw no drive, no heart, no will

the first 5 loses the team was working hard
and unraveled in the end
even the Cowboys game - they came back in the second half

The Bengals game - pathetic
4 quarters, 60 minutes of pathetic

they better turn it around and will themselves to win

this is the Saints

come on

Re: Report: Saints' Brandin Cooks out multiple weeks with broken thumb

I don't think its a case of people losing faith in the team, its just the realisation that the Saints are not (at this point in time) the team that everyone was hoping they would be and now that (not using this as an excuse) the injury list is getting very long its hard to see where the next win will come from.

We are all Saints fans on this forum and I guess we always will be but it would be nice to have, just a little something positive, to cheer about, especially after that awful game against the Bengals.

A win against the Ravens would be just the tonic!!!!!

GEAUX SAINTS!!!!!

Reportedly Cooks has been put on IR and there may be a wrist injury involved to go with the broken thumb.

The play he got injured on was a punt return, he got up holding his wrist afterwards.

If it looks like Cooks is going to be out for longer than we thought then the rest of the team really will have to step up and earn their dollars!

Lets hope they show some spirit on all sides of the ball in the next game!
