I would rather see the saints finishing the job they started up front on the OL which I have little faith in them completing. they never complete what they start. but thats just me. I think at 31 you have other options open to you that are safer picks on both sides of the ball. this may be the spot to look at CB OT OG DT because when pick 44 comes around the picking will probably get mighty thin and your talking third tier talent pool by then. grab the best from the second teir vs the bottom of the first tier is not a bad thing to do. pats live with this way of picking players. pick a player based on what he is not on what he might be. i am open to trading back into the top second and getting that 4th rounder back. plus something else of course in 2016 ![]() But not picking from the over glorified positions make for a boring draft. But a boring draft may be just what this team needs heck sell me on the kid. i am open to it |

After Harold, the next best fit at OLB is Zo Mauldin out of Louisville and you gotta reach and take him with the 2nd round pick... Know some people hate this, but we ****ed the pooch winning that Tampa Game... Lovie pretty much handed our arse to us for three quarters, and then they threw the game... Nothing wrong with pitching a battle to win the war... |

Like Shelton's game, but his playing style and longevity in the NFL don't seem conducive... Trade up for Beasley or trade back to the 18-24 range and take Virginia's Eli Harold, Florida St's Eddie Goldman, Oregon's Jake Fisher, Wake Forest's Kevin Johnson... |

Re: 2015 draft??
Just read a really interesting piece on Jeff Heuerman(Ohio State TE) on bleacher report. Its worth looking at but i cant post it from phone as you need the pictures for it to make sense.
Sounds a interesting prospect |

Re: 2015 draft??
Yes, very good TE and the only one I'd pick this draft. But, only further down in the 2nd or 3rd. 2nd round pick needed for ILB, OL, or WR.

Re: 2015 draft??
I have been looking at Heuerman as a solid option at TE. IMO he is a bigger version of Watson which is not a bad thing. With the saints so focused on spending money on RB and trades depleting the WR corp of our best talent, the OL has to be key. TE has to be included in this group
So I have to think a solid old school type of TE has to be on the list of needs. Heuerman is definitely one. If he is there in round 3 the saints have to consider him. they have bankrupt the passing attack all for the sake of the ground game and pass protection that a pick like this makes sense On the flip side we have been saying this for years so i have little hope that saints will go this route. just like the saints investing in even more on the OL to finish the job. they always get to cute and out think themselves in this area of the game. depth up front on both sides of the ball have been sadly addressed over the years. as a general rule of thumb i have adopted a slogan for the saints. the saints suck at building a bench.
